England is fantastic. Born and bred in England. We have a diverse range of cultures who live here. We have a great health service (not perfect, but certainly not bad). We have a strong currency against the Dollar. We have high standards of living. We are relatively free to think. We have good arts, film, music. We have some of the richest history in the world, great houses, castles, etc. We have some fantastic scenery.

We do need a new government. The current one has become arrogant at worst, at best it has become stale.

I've lived here all my life and am proud to say I'm English.

However, our identity is slowly being taken away by EU bureacrats who are wanting to control everything and foreigners including those who are illegal are given presidence over us and don't obey our laws. Surely this can't be right.

I would like to vistit someday, but I kind of wonder if imigration has not ruined it for everyone there.

sarch_uk
I never thought I would ever say this about my country but it has totally gone to the dogs because of the ineptitude of the current government and the corrupt EU.

I love england. I've always wanted to go there but I can never get the time. I have a few friends from over there and they are really cool. I also love the music over there.

I'm English but I don't live there - I'm currently working in Germany and love it! I have to move back in two years and I'm not looking forward to it.

England is fine for the odd holiday, seeing family, doing some shopping, etc. but to tell you the truth the place scares the hell out of me!

The tax that you have to pay is terrible, the weather isn't great and the crime is bad but I guess when it boils down to it I'm proud of being English but some things need to change before I will be truly happy living there.

I am 33. I was born and raised in England and I live here now.

My country has many stupid laws and policies, and some of the finest views anywhere in Europe.

are the first words in my head based on 37 years of life there.

Cool

I should be doing something else
It's a great country but the government is too left wing.

Meg24
Mum is in the Oxford English dictionary for starters.
And we have gun control to stop people from going into colleges, school and workplace and shooting people - unlike the USA.

teknodogg
007...bus....too many Englishmen in US...London bridge is falling down...cool little coffee shops...great for sight seeing~

Mycroft
Stupid gun control laws there. They treat criminals better than they treat crime victims, in my opinion.

that they should stop saying the word, "MUM" because if you look it up in the dictionary, it clearly isnt in there.
