I believe that the prophet Jonah emerged from a wale. He seemed to be a very even-tempered kind of guy.

zoo2626
never known anyone from wales......i've met plenty of scots, english, irish and i like them quite a bit so i'll assume the welsh are "jolly good" as well.

I heard that people from the UK are pretty arrogant.

are the Welsh not the top nation when it comes to sheep-sh@gging? Australia is closely second!
Beautiful country though!

I've heard they make bread out of larva and go sailing in cockle shells, but I must admit to meeting some lovely Welsh of both sexes from Deeside down to Swansea and places in between.

The Welsh are a nice bunch. They like their rugby.

Just to clarify, the Welsh are British. It is a United Kingdom of four countries, Wales, England, Scotland & Ireland. This has confused some of the people replying on this question, so I thought I'd clarify it.

I´ve been there twice and I´m going there again this summer! I know many great people from wales! I simply LOVE them!

furfaro123
I'm not racist or anything but to me they seem a lot like the British, since they have the same accent and stuff.

crophilia
i only know 1 person from wales. he is a good friend and i love the way he speaks, the accent.
he is really nice but i cant comment on the rest of the welsh people.

floppity
Like that Glyn from Big Brother, he's brilliant! Did you hear him talk about his black pudding?

Generalisation hmm do you all drink too much, steal and wife beat, sing like angels, love rubgy and dress like druids. or maybe you're just like everyone else and happen to live in a part of the world that has some lovely places and some horrid places and people to match

Love them dearly and love the language - but then my sister-in-law's from Aberystwyth so I have to say that!

Sweetpea
I think of them as being.........Welsh....

yyaliceyy
lol i never met 1 ,,,, really lol

badgerbadger
And another general question about nations...

Can I just say I DONT think of them as being like on the Pot Noodle adverts!

I had two teachers who were Welsh - one was a really nice bloke, a lovely guy. The other....well she was nice I suppose, but when she got angry she scared the hell out of us! XD

I went to Barry Island and stopped by Abergavenny on the way back once - the people in Abergavenny looked a bit depressed. Perhaps because the English tourists were cluttering up their nice town! XD

Tony B
I know lots of Welsh people (but that's because I live in Wales). Asking a question like that is the same as asking ' what do you think of strawberries?' OK, there is a long standing but good natured uhhhhhhh 'lack of affection' between the Welsh and English but on the whole we all get on. People from Wales are all different and are all liked and disliked for different reasons.

openmind
In there next life they should be made to come back as Irish

Grizley Bear
Nice people very hospitable but i take people as i see them and the welsh people that i met on my various trips up north seemed very plesant , In wales again saturday so may see you around
