My boyfriend and I are broke, I borrowed some money from my gran yesterday and then lost it all somewhere somehow. Now we have no money and need some fun stuff to do that will cost nothing and is preferably in west london.

The best museums are free - Science Museum, the splendid Natural History Museum, British Museum, Maritime Museum, and few people think of going to the British Library but they have a good display of rare books and manuscripts. It's not free, but the bell tower of Westminster cathedral is a lot cheaper than the London Eye and also gives you a view for miles around. Go to some of the outdoor markets just to look, or window shop at the smart shops on Bond St. Anyone can go to Sotheby's or Christie's to see what's being auctioned, and they often have interesting things. The National Gallery, Tate, Imperial War Museum and National Portrait Gallery sometimes show free feature films.

Museums are great to do and very free. National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, London Museum, British Museum. See Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column. Other than that...London is expensive as all hell. Good luck surviving with no money.
