What is it like being from England? Are you proud of your nation?

I am a HUGE Anglophile! I love England! My love of England began as a child; it’s never waned. I've considered having a genetic test to see if I have some English ancestry. It is almost like I have been there before! I know that England has made mistakes; what nation hasn’t, but her contributions far outweigh the negatives. Are you proud to be from England? What does being English mean to you? Do you know how lucky you are to be in a country with such a long history? I think England is very special!

I am English and proud of it, i love everything about my country as well as the rest of the United Kingdom. We have our problems and everything is so expensive and our weather is nothing special but we do have a long and proud history , beautifull scenary a great sense of humour to name but a few. We are also world leaders in just about every industry and we are responsible for nearly every great invention ever made. Everybody the world over knows of the UK music sceen and some of the greatest films ever made are British. Finally we also have the greaest armed forces in the world who will always stand up and be counted at times of need when other countries would rather sit on the fence.

Yes I'm proud to be English, I love our history, our sense of humour, our sense of fair play and love of the under dog.
Ok the weathers crap, but the people are great and the women are beautiful.
And we lead the world in fashion.
But I'm sure your country, which ever that is, has a varied history they all do, once you look into it, but I can understand you loving England

I am very happy living in England. I have a warm home, plenty of food , a little money, freedom of religion, freedom of speech. The day is warm and sunny and all is well. I am very happy.

I'm not proud of England at all, but I am half Irish and England hasn't exactly has a great relationship with Ireland over the years. I think England is a bit rubbish as far the standard of living goes. The only thing good about the place is the historical architecture and the nice gardens.
I would move to France tomorrow if my boyfriend would go with me (and if I could speak better French)

Embarressed. When abroad I apologise first when asked my nationality. Being English is being treated like a 2nd class citizen here and the government not caring or helping us.Yes it's got a long history but I'd rather it have a shorter history, not work 22/7 to survive here and the chance of a council house.Equality would be nice!

Thanks for the england soliders who help us (united states) fought with the russian during the wars (I think it was civil war, world war 1 or 2). They help USA win the freedom from the russian (i think, but not sure)
