It's usually raining, but the British smile through it.
Jobs are scarce and even though you may have British / European Ancestory, you will be chased out of the country after 6 months.
If you have any middle eastern or islamic connections you will be allowed to stay indefinitely and given a house, doctor, school place for you kids, free legal advice, free money from the tax payer and the right to protest about your adopted country and it's traditions. You can even threaten the British with death outside any chosen European Embassy.
Sounds good? Come on down. The price is right. |

We have only three types of weather. It is raining, It just stopped raining or it is just going to rain. as you can see the vast changes in the climate make for an interesting life. |

Steeped in History and very interesting for a small country, you could have a whistle stop tour in a few weeks and soak up the culture.
Weather swings from wet and windy to quite warm, I love it! |

England specifically or Great Britian/ UK as a whole ?
Well it's different things to different people at different times & depends where in the Geography. On the whole it's pleasant & safe althougth there are really dangerous places. On the whole Government, Police & Military are good, responsilbe & respected. The place is full of history & the countryside is wonderful. It is on the expensive side, & till recently was probably one of the best places to live in the world. Once was great nation which ruled most of the world ! Now things are going down the pan a bit. The people are generally very nice. |

hi!!! I'm in Scotland.and today we have had all four seasons and it's not even 2pm yet!!!! Woke up to glorious sunshine, then it started to rain, now it's dry but dull and windy but very humid!!! Not nice at all at the moment. I live in a small village where nothing much happens but it's nice and quiet, well away from big cities like Glasgow and Edinburgh. I live near Stirling. There are lots of fab shops there and that's where i spend all my hard earned cash!!! Originally from Cyprus and go back there for a few weeks in 3wks time-can't wait coz the weather is amazing and i need a suntan!!! |

Its full of people whos only comment on our nation is how much it rains! or moaning about immigration. They seem to forget about the history, the art and the overall contribution we as a nation have made to the world stage. The inventions weve contributed the advances in medicine etc etc.
If you can, come visit...just avoid CHAVS! |

its okay... very nice when sunny, where i live (london) it is extremely expensive, so if you'r planning to come visit us, you have to be well prepared for it-financially.
by the way, its nice these days cos the sun's out , but i guess that you are not as eager for sunshine as we are in here :) |

Depends where you want to go. There are 4 countries in the UK, each different from the other (some in more ways than others). I live in Scotland & I am sure I don't have to tell you about that. Even though Glasgow is the "murder" capital of Western Europe it still has a long way to go to beat Capetown or Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). You should pay a visit to all of the UK. I am sure you'd enjoy your visit & find something new around every corner. |

You should go! I recommend going all the way! I went when I was 11 with a group called people to people. We went during the summer and it was amazingly beautiful! If you do decide to go, I recommend going on the eye(ferris wheel),The Tower of London, Warrick Castle, William Shakespheares birthplace and house, Big Ben, The Round Table of King Arthur, Stonehenge, Edinbourge,Windsor Castle,Eton College,Madame Tussades, buckingham palace,Alnwick Castle, and you have to visit the alnwick garden!so beautiful!Christ Church,if you have ever heard of Harry Potter parts of the movie were shot there, If you dont mind spending more money hop on over to Scotland. There you can visit where supposively the Lochness monster lives, the William Wallace monument, we had to climb 246 stairs to get to the top where you can see the most beautiful view of scotland. Hadrians wall was a good place to go. If I was given the oppurtunity to go again I would say yes in a heart beat. If you do go..I recommend staying in one of the Jury Inns hotels. It was a really great place to stay. My trip for England and Scotland was a total of 5,580 american dollars. But for you it would be different because we had bus trips paid and meals and all of the hotels we stayed in. So it would be a drastic change for you. Ofcourse we also went to Scotland, but that is totally up to you, even though I recommend it. Our whole trip took 20 days. I hope you choose to go. It is deffinately worth your time. |
