Liverpool is a fantastic city. It is currently being massively redeveloped. It has a fascinating history and the people are the most friendly outside of Glasgow. Lovely city, great people and excellent football team. |

It is the Capital of Culture and one of the best cities in the UK to visit. People may say don't go there because of the "ignorant" people, or "scallies" but the same can be said of any big city. Generally though it is a typical friendly northern town. Most Scousers will help you if you need help and will talk to you. |

Liverpool is a city in the north west of England.
Its not small, its large,It has 2 cathedrals,a catholic one that looks like a wigwam, and a huge protestant one.
The people who live there are very down to earth and have a great sense of humour,Im from Manchester which is 30 miles away and visit quite often. |

-it has many shops and train links to the rest of merseyside and England.
-it has one airport (Liverpool john Lennon airport). it has 2 universitys.
-it is European capital of culture 2008.
-every year the summer pops are held in the Albert dock. a new stadium is being built.
-it is a port town and its symbol is based on a cormorant.
-the liver birds reside on the liverbuliding..
-it was made a great town in the 1800s due to its links with the slave trade.
-there are 2 tunnels linking it to the wirral.
-a common misconception is that all scoucers are robber etc. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!
-it has 2 museums
-it has many resturants
-there is a ferry across the mersey that stops in 2 places in the wirral and 1 place in liverpool

Liverpool is a great city in the north west of England. (However I wouldn't go as far as to say it was the best city in the world)
It has its good and bad parts like everywhere else really.
Brilliant city centre, great nightlife, nice people too.

its a place I will never visit again. My wife and I went there last bank holiday Monday for a day out. After reading some of the answers given off the scousers I would disagree. The city centre is nice to look around and very expensive to park, But the assistants in the shops and people in general where very ignorent. |
