That's two questions.
The ZIP code of England (Arkansas) is 72046.
ZIP stands for Zone Improvement Plan and was a trademark of the US Postal Service; they are a specific type of postcode used in the US. Postcodes were actually invented by the German post office during the Second World War, the UK started using them in 1959 and the US didn't start until the 1960's.
Ignoring your use of a colloquial US term for a moment, the UK does not have one postcode. You may not be aware that the US Postal Service does not control the mail system for the entire world and the Royal Mail (the UK postal service) has to deliver letters that don't come from the US. The system has been created to allow efficient delivery of the majority of mail and not to make life easier for US citizens.
If you want to find a specific Royal Mail postcode it can be found here:

Nations do not have ZIP codes. UK normally works, and on letters so does England or Great Britain for that matter. |

We dont have zip codes, we have post codes. Strangely enough, England is big enough for there to be a post code for every area and not one for the country as a whole. |

Find a postcode, for instance LU1 1EB and enter it into multi map: http://www.multimap.com/map/home.cgi?client=public&lang=&advanced=&db=GB Unlike zip codes that are a bit vague, this will show you exatly where this building is. |

known as post codes here in the uk,
Zip codes are only used in the USA |

Simply put, there is no code for zips, except for those in the crotch region.
When at home no zip codes apply and you can hang low at will.
In public, the etiquette is to zip-up to prevent embarrasment should your tackle fall put of the opening. |

There isn't one for the whole country. In the UK, zip codes (Post Codes) refer to a single street. To find out the postcode for an address go to www.royalmail.co.uk and click 'Find a Post Code' |

There is no Zip code but you can put your Postcode as that would be our equivalent |

U.k. doesn't have Zip Codes we have Post Codes.
Places like America have Zip Codes.
So if you are filling out a form and it asks for Zip Code, sometimes it Will let you enter the post code, but some forms tell you it is wrong code.
Good luck! |

As others have said, it's a postcode here and there is a different one for each road in the country...they needn't have been so rude in telling you though.
To find a particular post code you will need to know the rest of the address. Here is a link for the Royal Mail postcode finder...if you need to find a postcode then just fill in as much of the address as you know...

OK, I'll explain this very carefully. England is a country in its own right. It is not a state in the United States of America. I realise that our Prime Minister's behaviour towards your President has confused things a little. |

if you want the international phone code for the UK its +44 |
|

elflaeda
 |
I don't understand the question. We don't have zip codes here, we have postal codes and every street has several. If you mean what's the number to dial to get into Britain, it's 44, then the area code but I believe you miss the first nought off ... e.g. ... 0191 would become 44 191 then the number you're dialing. |

Our Postcode system is different to the Zip Code system but serves the same purpose.
For example the postcode for 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister's official residence is: SW1A 2AA. The SW refers to South West London (others include NE for Newcastle, M for Manchester, etc) and the rest is a code for exactly where within the town the address is. |

That is a very silly question. What is a Zip Code? Why should we be expected to know things like that?
Presumably there isn't one or we would know what it is.
You should learn some geography and also realise that England is only part of the United Kingdom. |

How many times do yanks have to be told we do not have zip codes. I'm sick of it.
Now look at this http://www.scott-o-rama.com/2007/01/30/why-people-believe-americans-are-stupid/ |

The word zipcode. Such a stupid American word. The actual terminology you are looking for is Postcode.
Does America have a single "zipcode"? Does it f**k!!
Is England likely to have a single "zipcode" then? Let me think for a moment. Erm... that'd be a NO then!
Do postcodes / zipcodes really matter?
That'd also be a big fat NO.
If you don't know a full postal address then just put down what you do know complete with country and it will get there eventually - I promise you. A postcode just speeds things up a bit through the automated sorting centres. You don't actually NEED one! |

Yeah, England is just a rather large theme park for ignorant tourists.
It's post code, not zip code. Each area has it's own. Little 'ol England is a country, don't you know. |
