I am going to be visiting London for a few days and would like to go to Paris while i am there; is there an inexpensive way in which to do this?

Go to www.ryanair.com. And to it quickly as they often have flights for barely a dollar (but more when tax is included, of course)!

I'd say try for a deal on the Eurostar first. It will take you from downtown London to downtown Paris in about 3 hours. It's the fastest and most direct way to travel between the two.

Check out the low cost carries like Ryanair. Sometimes you can get awesome deals with them.

eurotrail..but sometimes british airways has good deals..
ryanair has cheap deals, BUT watch out for the luggage weight

I have a little travel blog with some info that will help you. Take a look at the "Getting Around Europe" post to help with travel info.

I think a train is probably the best, reliable way to go.

Check out to see if you can get a special eurostar (channel tunnel train) rate if you book in advance. Like plane tickets, the futher in advance you book, the cheaper they tend to be.

So the other answers cover ways to get to Paris but fail to mention the indirect costs involved in airtravel.

All airports, except for City Airport (which doesn't have low-cost carriers) are located a good distance outside of London. Eurostar's absolute cheapest deal is £60 return to Paris. Based on that, consider the cost of getting to and from the airport.

If you have time, then you can take a coach to Paris. I'd rather die thanks.

Next option is going by air. Getting a coach to the airport is the cheapest way to get there. However, traffic can play a huge role in you making or missing your flight. If you're trying to save money, a taxi is out of the question. Next option is a train, but depending on which airport you're going to, this can be expensive compared to the cost of your flight. Heathrow is the cheapest to get to, then Gatwick and then Stanstead.

Also consider how much time you'll loose by going by air. You need to arrive a good hour at least before your flight. You'll spend a good hour clearing customs and collecting baggage on the other end. These combined with getting to the airport easily equal the time it takes to get to Paris by train - and you haven't even included getting from the airport into central paris or the actual flying time. Consider that the Eurostar arrives in central Paris, making it a quick metro ride to your hotel.

The Eurostar terminal is in central london and can be reached by tube very easily. The difference in cost between a cheap flight and the train become small enough that going by train, if you get a good ticket, almost always outweighs the savings of a plane.

I would take the train. That is probably the cheapest way. Try eurorail. You can get discounts if you are a student. Check out the website below =)

Eurostar - www.eurostar.com
I am going to London- March 16th and I have already booked my tickets through Eurostar and it was $53.00 Each Way! So I payed a total of $106 to get to and from paris! It was also on the You Tickets! I checked many Airlines and things but this was the best way- Have fun in London and Paris! I know I will :-)
