I lived in Brighton, and loved it.
I thought you were going to ask about visiting for weekend. I was only having that discussion with a friend from Edinburgh this weekend. And we both agreed Liverpool is the best city in the UK, but I don't know what it's like to live there. |

Edinburgh. Its got so much going on, great restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. Its also easy to get out into the countryside. People are nice and there are lots of job opportunities. also the Uni is very good.
I miss it :-( |

I would have to say Brighton! It is considered as London by the sea. There are countless things to do, theatres, resturants, shopping in the lanes, Churchill Square shopping center, historic and regency buildings and streets. The people are extremely friendly, then theres miles of beach too. There are also many opportunities to visit other nearby towns or go to a country pub a short drive away. |

Wells is the smallest city in England. Lots of beautiful countryside nearby, not far from Bristol and Bath. People are friendly, house fairly reasonable, education is good although you would have to travel to Strode or Bridgwater for colleges. Should be able to get job ok. Not far from lovely Devon for short break hols and near to Bristol Airport for further afield. Doesn't really have much in way of 'clubs' though but is easy to get to Glastonbury for the festival. |

hmmmm, this is a hard one i would probably choose plymouth because the houses are quite set back there, and the houses are big, but all for a good price! |

Birmingham, the city of a thousand trades.
two cathedrals.
More canals than Venice.
More open parkland than any city in Europe.
great transport service.
Multi cultural.
City centre shopping the best in Europe.
The world famous jewellery quarter.
The prettiest women.
Friendly brummies, make you feel very welcome..
Night life is fantastic, in the city centre.

Bristol is pretty good - plenty to suit all tastes.
Maybe if you are thinking of moving, you should take a few weekend breaks to familiarise yourself with the areas.
If you like to have easy access to the sea, for example, don't pick the Midlands - Birmingham is nearly as far away as you can get. |
