Well I spent 6 years in Cambridge, yes it has crime as any city does, but you felt reasonably safe as long as you locked your pushbike because if you only locked your front wheel then thats what would be left, loads of areas to relax in, by the river, on the green, its a lovely place and I would have to give it 10 out of 10, however this is only my opinion and I am not saying it is the best, but it's certainly must be a best. |

I've been to most and my home town of Edinburgh is still far and away the best city in the UK. It has a lot wrong with it these days, but it still trounces all others, including London. |

Everyone is going to say the city in which they live! Now I have a problem with this because I come from Birmingham! Not that its any worse than other cities, but I could think of nicer ones.. |

I live in Birmingham as well, the city centre is great to visit, lots of places to sit out and eat, but depending on where you live can colour your experience, there's good and bad in all cities. |

Bath is a stunning city.
Not sure about jobs though.
And the Bournemouth/Poole area is gorgeous. And WOULD have good career prospects plus amazing beaches / harbour..... and relatively good shopping. |

1. Good shops
2.Not expensive to live in
3. Good jobs going around
4. Low house prices
5. Very good night life
6. You can get to anywhere from Leeds in the country using the trains.
7. Because I live there
8. A quality football team (no jokes please!) |

its got to be glasgow....stop laughing!!
if you avoid the neds (or as the english call them chavs) then glasgow is a fab city, very diverse with amazing shops and clubs, esp the live music scene (best in scotland) the people are great and very friendly, which is not normal for such a large city. West end and south side are def the best parts...esp ashton lane of an evening!! A gerat city and you are a matter of minutes from the beautiful scottish countryside....bliss!! |

It depends on what you want and the education you have to take good job offers.
My friend lives in Norfolk, myself in Leicester, she thinks the opportunities, money and way of life there are better than here, i'd have to agree, Leicester is crap. |
