Most previous answers are good.
I usually go for a "MIND THE GAP" T-Shirt
with the London Underground logo
Every Londoner has this voice in his head whenever stepping out of an underground "Mind the Gap"
so I think it's very funny, and other people who have visited London would immediately recognize that you were there and smile! |

A Chelsea Pensioner.
You could put him in your entrance hall and use him as a coat stand and hat rack. |

It depends what you're in to. Personally, being a london resident - I think the museums are amazing. (boring I know). The natural History Museum and Imperial War museum are fantastic. The've both got souvenier shops with some good stuff in. |

If you want some cheap souvenirs for some friends Cadbury's chocolate can be found in every supermarket and newsagent and is very nice, there's loads of different flavours to choose from. Thornton's chocolatier makes heavenly chocolate and is not over-priced, there will be stores in many places in London. Why not try some tea shops you will find loads all over London, you can get so many different leaves and flavours and they often do nice tea cups or mugs to get aswell, these will be useful rather than something that will just sit on a shelf. Teabags are also light so they can be transported home easy. |

How much money do you want to spend?
London Bridge is still up for sale. Else you can buy lots of souvenir tack from shops ... in the North, there is Madame Tussauds, in the South .. there is the "London Eye"....
In seriousness... there are some great souvenirs to be bought at the London museums!!!! Try buying a simple postcard and and sending it back home? "whoa... I just had a postcard from London....." it means a lot!!!! |
