What is the cheapest way to get to Bath from London? (and return?)?

I want to visit Bath and stay for the weekend, maybe in a few weeks!

Thanks!

By far the cheapest way is to get a "funfare" deal from National Express (leaving from London Victoria) - it's frequently possible to get a return ticket for £2!!!

This is the advance booking service offered by First Great Western. A single to Bath from London is £9. So a return is only £18, but you need to book well in advance to get these tickets before they sell out.

Mega Bus!!!! www.megabus.co.uk

it takes longer but i got it from bristol to london and back and it cost £15!!!! Train costs around £50

For the best prices you need to book in advance and it takes you into a number of central destinations of london

book in advance and you can go by coach for £18.00 return from victoria or the mega bus from london it costs only £1 but you have to book in advance on-line.

Megabus is one of the cheapest options to travel within UK.

However the journey won't be as comfortable as other coach rides.

Buy advance purchase tickets from First Great Western

Advance is much cheaper rail travel and faster than a bus too!

National Express normally do cheap returns but they take a while. There is a new bus service running from some cities to London especially for students. It's literally a minibus which goes backwards and forwards to London once a day and is really cheap (something like £2 I think). Can't remember the name of the company but you could try searching under student travel or something.

mmmb
so do i... I don't really know though. Probably the train, it gets me to Dover/Priory not that expensively. Also, if you are just paying for yourself the train isn't that much.

If you don't have your own car, check at any of the hotels in London. They will be happy to accommodate your request and will be able to make several suggestions for you to take a tour bus. Just make sure you DON'T drink the Bath water! It's really NASTY !

I was there a year & a half ago & had a blast -- I'm sure you will too !
