Depends on where you go. You will need a mega amount of money in London. Other places you won't need so much. Work out how much you think you might need, then multiply it by two or three.

Depends which part of the country. London is a lot more expensive than Manchester. I'd guess about £100.

About 10 quid for the whole trip. Bottle of squash and the rest for beans and toast!

Sassybaby
It depends where you are going, I would not recommend bringing a lot of cash. Like most of the places in Europe, you can use a visa card.

its a very difficult question to answer without more information...as a rough guide, the further north you go, the cheaper it is...

It depends on what you want to do during your stay! Are you including lodgings in your expenditure?

1. shelter... free if you're robust but looking at at least 15 quid a night.
2. entertainment. 3 quid a pint on average. less at the TESCO
3. value line at TESCO, live off 25p nachos and 27p scones.

You need to be more specific. pub food dinner will run you 15 for a mean, drink and a wee tip.
A show will be 20 pound for crappy seats.
Sitting in Hydepark looking at the clouds drift by will cost you nothing but you could do that in Birmingham for much less.

Depends on whether you are going to have fun or not. You'll easily get through £100 a day if you are a regular tourist. If you only do walks in the parks and go to free galleries and museums it will still cost you £10 a day just for sandwiches and coffees.

London is very expensive.
You will need at least 50 pound a night for accommodation (if you don't want to stay in a backpackers) backpackers are around 12-30 pound a night.
You will need travel cards, I haven't bee to london for 2 years but it used to be around 20 pound a week for a zone 1 and 2 travel card (you can use buses and tube).
Food is expensive, there a chain stores everywhere, Pret a manger will cost you about 4 pound for a sandwhich and 1 pound for a coffee.
Most attactions cost around 10-20 pound each to get into. So it depends on what you want to see and do.
It's an amazing city, you will love every minute of your time there.
I miss London ;(

first you`ll have to determine costs of accommodation, food, transport, sightseeing, shopping...it would be better to overestimate & take too much money, than to underestimate & end up running out!!! a few years back i traveled to london for a 6-month stay, & if i remember correctly, within 1 week i had spent around $2,000...
