Mara, Go to Devon, in particular Exeter and South. Exeter is really old, see it before they completely ruin it. Take a steam train ride in South Devon and see an England past. Beautiful countryside, lovely people, 'reasonable' weather.
Then go on to Cornwall to chill at the beach, any beach. |

Try the Cotswolds. Places like Upper and Lower Slaughter (to name just two). Broadway is quite amazing, it is as though you have gone back in time. |

The whole UK is soo varied its hard to say. But the south west is the favourite uk holiday destination for brits anyway. Cornwall and devon are great, fresh air and a warm climate, thats something you won't find anywhere else. The people here are really nice too.
Other than that wales is underated and the lake district is a mecca for international visitors and it is true the place is stunning. |

Geordies. if it's not night clubs your lookin for, then newcastle has great shoppin centres, eldon sq and metrocentre. if it's countrysideyuor looking for newcastle is just a bus ride away from the lake district, beautiful scenery. Newcaslte upon Tyne is a great city and i wouldn't want to live any where else. |

Edinburgh.......Because right now it has the festival. Apart from that it's just a cool city to hang out in. Plenty to see and do. And the people are not bad either. |

If you've been to Portsmouth then just about anywhere will be beautiful. Even Plymouth!
From your visits so far I assume you're more town-oriented than countryside. Possibly the most beautiful town I've been to is York. If you went there on your trip to Yorkshire then try Wells or Bath, in Somerset. And while you're down that way, definitely give the North Cornish coast a look.
Oxford is nice too. |

If you want to go somewhere off the beaten path, try Lincoln or Leicester. Lincoln has a gorgeous cathedral (it's where some of the Da Vinci Code was filmed) and a castle, and Leicester has beautiful architecture and parks. |
