In my humble opinion the most wonderful experience for newlyweds is a balcony suite on a cruise ship in either the caribbean or hawaii (my husband and I have done both and prefer Hawaii!) Sitting on the balcony of your cabin and sharing a breakfast or dinner together at either sunrise or sunset is magnificent. Since all meals, snacks (including 24 hour room service) and entertainment is included (gratuties are not in most cruises), you can afford to enjoy yourselves ashore in each port. Since today's megaships are like floating cities you can never be bored (if you even choose to leave your cabin--it is after all your honeymoon!!) Most ships have casinos, shops, a variety of restaurants, movie and live theatres, discos, a variety of pubs and of course several swimming pools and whirlpools for a nice soak! Princess Cruise Lines & Royal Caribbean truly cater to its clientele (you'll feel like royalty) but if your budget is a large concern, Carnival Cruise lines also give it their all. My husband & I will be departing in November for our 20th cruise and cannot wait. Try it once and you too will be hooked! Bon Voyage! |

Camping, it's so intimate and you really are at one with The Earth. You can build a campfire together in the evenings and watch the sun set as you cook on your open fire, sit together and admire the wonderful night sky while drinking a nice glass of bubbly. Total bliss.Best honeymoon you could ever have.
We spent the night of our wedding like that on the top of a mountain on the hottest day of the year in 1999 and to top it all there was a full moon. There isn't anything that could have beaten it. |

Holiday as in honeymoon do you mean? I would say a cruise! You really are catered to and everything is included in the price! Best wishes and blessings =)
And holiday as in a holiday, I think your "firsts" of everything (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, anniversary) are above and beyond the best! |

Tunisia,
just come back, and the resort was full of luved up couples. the resorts are all self contained with private beaches and waiter service around the pools. Its only a 2h40 flight and 1 hour time difference. the weather's fantastic and even the lightnign is romantic. the hotels (for the most part) are luxuriously decorated and the if you see yourself leaving the honeymoon suite during your stay there are plenty of tourist attractions, markets, camel rides, quad biking, zulu evenings, animal parks and history.
plus you can fly from bristol |

it does not matter on the location!! as long as you have clean sheets, warm or cool room depending which country you are in, and each other!!! |

It has to be Gretna Green, it is THE only village that is just famous for marriages and weddings. People come from all over the world to be married at Gretna and the hotels all cater for newly weds and the countryside is beautiful. Not too far from Edinburgh either and you can have a piper pipe you into the church or after you come out or you can have horses and carriages or fancy cars, EVERYTHING about Gretna is for newly weds. Have a wonderful time, THIS MUST EARN ME 10 POINTS! |
