Try Cardiff. The sunset over the bay. and plenty of accommodation for all pockets and all manner of food and entertainment.
And there's always the chance of running into Torchwood or Dr Who. |

Bourton-on-the-water. My husband proposed to me there. Lovely cotswold village. Car museum, bird park, maze, model village. |

I recommend the scarcely heard of Isle of Bute, but it's where Stella McCartney was married. It's best to go in good weather as all the entertainment is outdoors: hiking, horse-riding, biking etc. But it's cheap to get to: bus to Glasgow, train to Wemyss Bay the 35 minutes on the ferry. Try the Russian Tavern at Port Bannatyne, budget accommodation and great grog and vitals: http://www.butehotel.com
They open from Easter to November |

Corfe Castle in Dorset is a beautiful village. Full of quaint cottages built of Purbeck stone, the kind you have to duck your head to get through the front door. There is the ruin of Corfe Castle up on the hill behind the village and you can see it from wherever you are, on many evenings the castle is lit up so it literally just glows on the hill.
There are a few places to stay in the village, the Bankes Arms hotel which is just across the road from the castle, and serves lovely food, or the Greyhound Inn, or plenty of holiday cottages which you can privately rent.
In the day time, it is just a 5 mile trip to Swanage, a pretty seaside town, with quaint little shops, a lovely long promenade to stroll along, or you could go to the pier, or take a trip on the Swanage Steam Railway (which actually goes to Corfe Castle and back).
There is a lovely pub called the Scott Arms in Kingston, a village up on a hill in between Swanage and Corfe Castle which has a big garden overlooking the beautiful scenery of Purbeck (the name of this area of Dorset), and you can see Corfe Castle in the distance, as well as Poole Harbour and beyond.
Definately take a trip down to Corfe Castle, very romantic, peaceful, the kind of weekend you can just spend walking around, chatting, eating, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. |

when you have the right partner the setting isnt important, its what you make of the time together,to me flowers, drapes and music just get in the way drowning out the words and passion. |
