Was going to say the A12 cos it is! you won,t beat that answer it is a complete and utter nightmare I travel on it every day! We know loads of people who have died in road accidents on it used to live next to it too! (that was ok though) but have moved now! PS ours is the Suffolk end of THAT road! |

without doubt the A303.
It runs across the south of England from Hampshire to Devon, a popular route for people going on caravan holidays and tourists going to stonehenge. Yet most of the road is only 1 lane in each direction (ocassionally 2 lanes for short stretches). It is constantly blocked, has more accidents than any other road i can think of and is generally just a nuisance yet its practically the only route to the south west for anyone who lives near the south coast. |

I travel a lot to see football matches - worst motorway is M6 on Sunday night - A12 is also crap but luckily Ipswich ,Norwich and Colchester are not in Premiership.
Best Motorway is M1 and best A road is A1.
M40 has to be the most dangerous as every time I go on it, its always full of fog |

"Five lanes" ? You people do not know anything about roads.
There are still parts of the A82 trunk road which is single track with passing places! |

Being a Londoner I would say it's the A205, a.k.a the South Circular.
The second would be the North Circular a.k.a. A406 from Clockhouse Junction in palmers Green to Bounds Green/Pinkham Way junction, although there is nothing glorious about the drive from Neasden to Hanger Lane on a Saturday. |

The M25 is an awful road. Always accidents at Jnc 8 & 9 and traffic is pushed through Reigate blocking this. The slips roads approaching these jncs are to small and traffic gets caught out at the speed of oncoming cars etc.... |

m6 but most roads are in a crap state,, how ironic i work as a contractor on cheshire county council highways and with cut backs the labour orginisation (not the management) is in the process of being cut by a possible 25% |

The A406 aka the north circular!!! We can't get around it in Rush hour because the people going off at the A12 and A13 block us up!
Not only that it goes down to one lane at Palmer's green..rrrrrr!!!! |

Its pointless widening and upgrading roads; it just encourages more traffic; some of the worst traffic jams occur on Motorways like the M11 and M25. We need to group workplaces, schools, shops and homes close to each other to prevent all this remoseless travelling. Statistics show half of all car journeys are under 2.2 miles; these should be walked or cycled and we'd have a lot less obese people. |
