In this order ...
1. Camden Town - mind you I will do anything to avoid Camden full stop, never mind just the station
2. Covent Garden - but don't only the tourists use it anyway, isn't everyone else smart enough to walk to another station? But then I don't even like to walk past it
3. Paddington - just because I used to travel from there to Kings Cross, so I could use either the H&C line or the Circle line, and I'd always end up choosing the wrong one and waiting for ages but you can't change your mind without touching in and touching out again. Plus it is full of ponces that commute from Berkshire
4. Waterloo - because it is a tourist-infested rathole HOWEVER I'm thinking that when the Eurostar moves to St Pancras this will cease to be the case
5. Clapham North - (my memory's going; perhaps all the Clapham stations?) - those ones that have just the one platform down the middle of the station; they scare me shitless! How easy would it be to get pushed off the platform during busy periods?
6. Parsons Green - just 'cause it's full of New Zealanders. Not kidding. I once stood there twenty minutes waiting for a friend and everyone that walked past me was wearing an All Blacks jersey and flipflops whilst it was raining
7. Kings Cross - full of undesirables-like. Once I fainted on the platform and everyone just ignored me and stepped over me, because they assumed I was a drug-user or something
8. Caledonian Road and Arsenal (might also be some more in that region) - anything where there's only a lift to escape and no escalators
Now enough with all the negativity people; let's talk about the good stations. Canary Wharf, Canada Water and Bermondsey are the shiznit!!! So clean and modern and uncrowded. Let's give them a round of applause. I also like Holborn - no particular reason. |

Has to be Covent garden with its weird format only open to those leaving the station at weekends or something like that.
Plus its so small for a west end station. |

Ealing Broadway Station, it's the pits, no lifts, no help from barrier staff, the staff aways look ready for a fight and look like bouncers |

I know you said london, but I just felt like voicing the fact that the blue line in Los Angeles is dirty, and it reeks of urine. |

It's gotta be Arsenal. I go to a lot of Arsenal matches and the station cannot withstand the amount of supporters who need to use it. I suppose it's not just Arsenal as all of the surrounding stations have the same problem, but my worst memory is standing in a queue outside the station on a winters evening for over 2 hours in the pouring rain before even being able to see the station, let alone get inside! |
