It was a lovely place along the Yorkshire coastline, but the staff, company and accommodation were a complete let down.

When we arrived (myself, my fiance, my best friend & her husband), we were given the keys to the caravan and once we opened the door it was like opening a drain and climbing into it.

The caravan absolutely stunk, we went inside and there were urine stains on the sofa & dining chairs, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned for weeks, the curtains were filthy, the oven was disgusting, the windows hadn't been cleaned, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
It was just awful.

We went straight back to reception & complained, some little liar behind the desk insisted the room had been cleaned "that morning" (yeah, right!!), so we demanded to see the manager, who moved us into a gold caravan. It was a lot cleaner, I'll give them that, but everything was broken! The outdoor light didn't work, the fire wouldn't light, the plates were all smashed, the mirror in the bathroom had been smashed, the water was barely warm and the toilet didn't flush.

We went straight back & complained to the manager again, who moved us to another gold caravan. Luckily, that one was okay.
In the end we were given 40% off the holiday and quite frankly, I won't ever be going to another Haven holiday park ever again.

Throughout the holiday, I found the bar staff very rude, the staff in the swimming pool were like little Hitlers, the reception staff were completely clueless and the so called cleaners, well, what can I say?!
The cleanliness of the park was quite poor as well, the entertainment was crap and overall, the park & company didn't live up to the experiences I've had with them in the past.

We'd all used Haven holidays in the past and never once had a problem, but this one was just too big to drop.
It's Parkdean holidays from now on!

We spent the majority of the time in the local towns & seasides and the beach that was a small walk from the park.

We went to Skegness once and went to Mabelthorpe for the day! It was just indescribable. We stopped off at a little museum on the way, which was brilliant but the man behind the desk was trying to talk us out of going to Mablethorpe!
We went anyway and we were there for a grand total of 45 mins.

went to mauritius on myhoneymoon and instead of being there for 1 week we ended up there for 17 days due to horrific hurricanes and cyclones.no hot water no lights and we were confined to r hotel rooms 4 4 days traumatising experience.not reccomended

this year when i went on a break with my mum and gran for a week to loch fyne, scotland.
i have never seen so much rain in my life - 1 week constant rain, and i live in scotland but the east side.
and the place was deserted, even the chipper closed because nobody used it.

Spain, but not because of the country but the circumstance. Didn't want to go, other things were happening that week and it was the same place as had been with an ex.Then when i got there i got hurt on the first day and couldn't leave the apartment all week.

Not me but I worked with a girl who when on her honeymoon the husband wanted to go home a week early because he was bored. Yep they eventually got divorced.

Perran Sands in cornwall.Another Haven site!!We have a touring caravan and if we could have afforded to go somewhere else we would've left 2 days after we arrived. It was dirty.noisy,expensive,neglected,muddy,an... uninspiring.Complained twice-once to the site manager and once to head office-and they really couldn't care less. Will never use Haven again!!

I went to Portugal 18months ago, it rained, blew a hoolie, and I was in the same village Maddie disappeared from, so there were press, and police everywhere.
We didn't see any sun for the whole 2 weeks we were there, and what made it worse, was the fact that Britain had lovely weather. Don't you just hate that?

However, it wasn't my worst holiday, we spent a fortnight in Turkey 2 years ago. The hotel, (The 'Daisy' Hotel Kusadasi) resembled a D.S.S. dosshouse, the beds had been peed on, There was no hot water, no sink plugs, no wardrobes, no bedside tables, and we lived out of our suitcase for the entire stay the pool was unusable, and we were right next to the Mosque.............. In the middle of Ramadam. Never again!!!
