I would say at the moment london ,with all the bad publicity with crime and murderers,or manchester,i live in huddersfield there is nothing here but then it depends on what you want. |

I agree Sunderland, but all you need to do is go 12 up the road to Newcastle, and there you got the best one. for shopping, bars and night life, places to visit.and no doubt the football team, once the nasty little men leave, Ashley/Wise, and i live in Sunderland. |

My parents are always telling me to stay away from places like Brixton and some parts of Lewisham, because they're not safe. But I think it's because they're just outside of the city and really industrial so they're quite cheap. But I think that some country places are so boring if you actually live there because there's nothing to do. Nice to visit though. |

In a survey some years ago Grantham was voted worst town in England. I'm sure there are worse places than Sunderland though (I just can't think of any). |
