Hey :)
I went to Edingburgh last year with my family for a long weekend, and it was really nice there.
We did loads, we had no plans and still found loads to do.
One of the things we did do which was really interesting was go down Mary King's Close
http://www.realmarykingsclose.com/ it's hard to explain but that site explains it all.
Also if you like scary things, go to the dungeons. but they're a bit touristy.
You can go on ghost tours in the night, didn't do this but it sounds quite good.
Hope some of this helps and have fun! |

Wander along the Royal Mile and the High Street for shops and bars that have been there for hundreds of years.
Just take a walk into some of the Close's (alleys) and you will find old buildings, Churches some shops and even a cafe or two.
Leith is a good place to go for quirky, also plenty of places to explore especially around the old harbour area. Lots of interesting old bars and restaurants.
You could always have a visit to the Royal Yacht Brittania, at Ocean Terminal.
Get a day ticket on the local bus £3.00. You can use it on any bus, get on and off where ever you see something interesting. Gte back on and explore the rest of the city. |

I think this is where the haunted underground tunnels are from back in the day. You could visit some of those and take spooky pictures. Or just have a cold beer and relax! |
