Helen M
The Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the Covent Garden funfair, the National History Museum ice rink and fair, the Somerset House ice rink, the Geffrye Museum Christmas displays, the terracotta warriors at the British Museum, all the great museums and galleries, Spamalot and a ton of musicals, Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart on the stage, concerts in dozens of wonderful churches and venues, jazz and live music all over the place, great shops, warships and river defences, great engineering, a magnificent river, parks and woodlands within minutes of Underground and bus stops, hundreds of years of amazing architecture, over two thousand years of history, and some of the liveliest people you'll ever meet - including all our visitors.

Oh, and if we're really lucky, we may even get some snow!

Ar the moment a lot of rain.

1st December - Oxford Street closed to traffic to allow us mere pedestrians to go shopping without fear of being mangled under the wheels of a passing cart.

6th December about 6pm the lighting of the Norway Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square. Lots of people usually packed tightly together.

Most of us Londoners are just getting ready for Christmas and that means a lot of hard shopping. So, if you've got the wonga and the time, go shopping.
