For tourists, the london eye in the evening, the buzzing city looks so lovely in the glow of the neon blue sky.
Personally, I love the summer storms, the thunder and the warm rain are perfect, but that rarely happens anymore :-(
Have fun when you come over! |

My dad was in the military so I got to live in England for 3 years in a town called Feltwell. I loved everything about England. The people over there are so nice. And of course you got to love the accents. London is a really nice place to visit. |

lets see....bluebells in the woods...fresh kippers ....primroses and little lanes full of foxgloves and brambles...hot crumpets and TEA...beautiful old oak trees...gardens full of roses...ponds in the fields...hearing a cuckoo..listening to the rooks cawing in the tree tops...riding on top of a bus...riding through the countryside on a train...and a million more things... |

You'll probably get a few negative answers because of our economic situation right now, people facing years of high taxes and cuts in public services etc, but...
For me it is the countryside, architecture, history - a lot of the quaint images you might have still hold true in a lot of places. There is such a variety too if you consider the whole UK, parts of Scotland look so incredibly different to anywhere else on the island. I hope you get your vacation - or holiday as we call it! - have a good time. |

Great culture and history
A lot to do if you have money
Great nights out
A lot of good people (but like everywhere there are lot of arseholes too)
Accents that actually suit the English language.
By the way make sure you remember there is a lot more to England than just London. |

There's a lot of beautiful green countryside here in the many national parks - have a look at this link for details: http://www.nationalparks.gov.uk/
Some of the coastlines are really amazing too. I think the best ones in England are in the southern regions, around Cornwall particularly. Although some of the coasts in Northumberland are incredible too, but more raw. Not so good for sunbathing ;) but very picturesque.
My other favourite things about this country are the pub culture, and the food!
You MUST have a traditional Sunday roast while you are here, and a full English breakfast, and some fish and chips by the sea!
Have a great time! :) |

I Live in London...and i think the best thing is most probably the centre of London.
The things to do there like, the London Eye, Madame Tussuad's, the museums (if u like those kind of things). The west End where all the plays and theatres are. They have really good shows. Oxford Street, all the "high end" shops, if you like shopping.
The people are really nice too and the food is SO good.
Hope it helps |

well for me I think its mainly london and its culture, the fashion in london is the best in the world, our history of fashion is amazing (or one of as paris is good to, I prefer british style to paris style or american though)...the royal family, I'm proud to have that in my heritage...theres so much to do and see in different parts of great britain, for example london is totally different from scotland, theres also the channel islands, our music culture and our clubs (in london especially) are some of the best...and I like the accents (even though Im british myself I can see why people appreciate our accents). I guess to sum it up I love the style and life that's in britain and that great sense of british pride I get from the royal family, architecture, football! (british football supporters have such a team spirit) the city of london, the fashion and music history. I know you said one but that's my overall thing, british individual culture. |

The countryside in some areas especially Wales and Scotland is beautiful and only surpassed by being Airside and leaving the UK behind!!!!! |

Im in the states right now and I live in England, here for easter break.
Well Im a Londoner and I would say the atmosphere when the World Cup is on. People at like its Christmas, but without the "dreaded" expense, everyone is happy and no one is on the streets if England is playing. |

I never lived there but i was there with my husband and loved it! We were in England and the shops, the GORGEOUS gardens just took our breath away! Very, very clean! We were hyde park and my husband commented on how clean even the bathrooms were. We were there for over a week and didn't even need a car. Even took the chunnel to Paris! I would go back there tomorrow if i could! We loved it so much we sent out daughter there on a school trip. |
