I'm from Carmarthen is South West Wales and it is a great place to live and is the gateway to some beautiful places and there is plenty to do from here:
Carmarthen Town- A nice county market town with traditional shops and also good shopping....M&S...Burton..Next..Watersto... etc.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales- Big glasshouse and beautiful surrounding gardens -just a nice day out!
The Brecon Beacons just 15-20 miles away great for walking and mountaineering with some spectacular views.
Llansteffan and Ferryside just 7 miles away for Sailing, Kayaking, Water Skiing, Motorboating.....whatever you fancy!
Great Beaches such as Freshwater West and Newgale for surfing.
The Bluestone Eco Tourism project (bit like Centre Parks) with pools and good facilities (+ snowdome to arrive December 2008)
There is loads more...........It's just the weather has been a bit **** this year but I guess it's also the same for the rest of Britain! |

Best would be Newcatle in northern ireland....its perfect because youve got the best of both worlds.
Newcastle has the beach ....and loads of shops...and tradition irish bars.... and about 15mins from that you have Tollymore forest which is a massive country park...you can even camp in it ..has all facities including cafes..perfect if you have a dog....loads of great walks...
eg river trail walk ....my favourite.
If you like to see countryside .....like great nightlife ...and want a cheap hoilday...newcastle is for you.
if you live in england you can get the ferry over , and dead cheap.
btw i live in northern ireland |
