What is your favourite scenic view in the UK?

In my opinion the UK has some fantastic scenery and I am asking what your favourite view is.

Now I am not really restricting this "traditional" scenery (mountains, pastures and moors etc) - maybe you like the view over a city or town or over an industrial setting.

Intereted in your thoughts.

Couple of mine include: Newport Beach (Pembs) - http://www.dolawel-cottage.co.uk/images/surrounding_area/overlooking_newport.jpg

Being Welsh and a titchy bit biased I love views of local castles and beaches, this castle is called Carreg Cennen near Llandeilo in south Wales.

This one is Pembrokeshire Castle.

This is Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsula, if you look carefully you can see Pennard castle over on the right hand side about half way up, at the very top, the other side of the peninsula.

Last one for today, this is the Green Bridge of Wales on the Pembrokeshire coastal path, if you look carefully you can see people on the path.

EDIT: I quite agree about the idiots who put thumbs down to ANY of these great answers, and what a popular question!

Ribblehead Viaduct (on the Settle - Carlisle line)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ribblehead_Viaduct_dunc_adjusted_for_brightness.jpg

Isle of Skye - too much beautiful scenery to select one particular view. I have stayed in a youth hostel (Glen Brittle) near the Cuillins and it was stunning.

On the way up to Skye, I took the Citylink 914 coach from Glasgow, which passed some beautiful scenery on the way, through Loch Lomond and Glencoe. It cost £25 I think for a return ticket and it was well worth it for the scenery alone, never mind the destination!

From Jordan Hill on the east side of Weymouth Bay, Dorset across to the Isle of Portland.

I love the scenery that can be found in Britain, Wales and Scotland have the best views. But England also has some that are not to be missed.

here is one of my favourite places. On the Orkney Islands, the beaches are so clean, clear blue sea and sky and white sands, and totally unspoilt. The added bonus of Scara Brae makes it to me outstandingly beautiful.

And for peace and tranquility the nothing can beat this view of Betws y Coed.
http://www.rogerswebsite.com/England/109%20-%20Betws-y-Coed%20in%20North%20Wales.jpg

My last choice is the beautiful Cotswolds. To walk through one of the villages there is to step back in time.

EDIT.

I do hope the Americans are looking at all the pictures on this Q of our beautiful country!!!

The West Riding of Yorkshire, where I live, has lots of beautiful countryside but I would say that Castleshaw, 1 mile from our house is my favourite view. It's a reservoir and Roman fort surrounded by steep Pennine hills and hamlets.
I also like views of the cotton towns of Oldham and Rochdale etc and all their Victorian terraces and ex cotton mills. Most people don't think it's pretty but I love history and regional history is one of my favourite aspects of it.

I have struggled for ages with this Q..it was like picking a favourite child!!

I'm going for all the obvious ones really -

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/140/363976377_08bfee6160.jpg?v=0 ~ My favourite view that I live alongside.

This one-http://www.bbc.co.uk/northwesttonight/content/images/2007/08/29/liverpool_470_470x352.jpg I struggled in vain to get a sunset view from the new Liverpool One...At he moment that is my fave scenic view. I may have mentioned this a few times.

From my childhood it is this one...not in the UK but I don't care..It was the first time I remember seeing a landscape and thinking 'WOW'-

It s where my Mum is from-http://farm1.static.flickr.com/37/89019955_b989063ce4.jpg?v=0

I also love around Keswick , Buttermere, Clun Valley.....I could go on and on ;-)

EDIT-God I'm rubbish...

Picture 2 - Liverpool Waterfront at night

Picture 3- East ferry, Midleton , Cork, Ireland.

Top of Gortmore in Co L/derry, looking across to Donegal, across the Foyle estuary.

I stood here on millenium night watching fireworks going off all over Donegal and down to Derry city, then along the north coast to Portrush, Portstewart and as far as Ballycastle and out to Rathlin island. Awesome.
