What is your most overcrowded experience in the tube/train?

Any more overcrowding than today's rush hours in Piccadilly Line - people are literally packed as sadines in a tin.

Try waiting for 2 or 3 trains to pass, you're quite likely to find that the next one will be a lot more comfortable to get on.

The worst I've ever been on I had some stinky guy's armpit in my face, and everyone was crushed to everyone. Of course, if people moved right inside the carriage like the nice staff ask, it woulda been a lot nicer.

A few years ago on the Piccadilly line one morning. The train was so crowded, but even so a guy insisted on squeezing his way in - after barking at everyone to move down the carriage, even though there was nowhere for them to go, he eventually made it by literally digging his elbow in my stomach and levering his way in. T**t! I still carry the mental scars of that day!

When I was about 19.
I was groped by someone and it was so packed I couldn't turn to see straight away.
It turned out to be an older woman and despite what you might be thinking it was frightening and I never felt safe for a long time afterwards. In those days my mates just laughed at me but I have always thought that it made me a coward as I should have protested and put her to shame. It's a dreadful thing to do to anyone.

Well, there was this one time i got into a district line train and it was, like, really crowded..........yeah, REALLY crowded

and that was my most overcrowded experience in the tube/train

New Years coming off Tralfagar Square. Nearly got crushed against the entrance gates as guards were forcing them open & shut to control the crowds and number of people in at once...Mind the Gap :-0

Kings Cross to Peterborough. There were two entire carriages full of pre-booked seats, an empty first class and the rest of squelched into the remaining carriages, toilets and sections in between. Those who dared sat in the pre-booked and 1st class (only to be evicted when the ticket guy came round if they weren't able to pay an extra £60!). I got booted out of the seat I was in because I hadn't got the right ticket for that particular seat. It wasn't a pre-booked seat, but I'd got a cheaper ticket.

It wasn't mine it was my husbands. He got on the train and it was packed solid - he noticed a free seat and quickly sat straight down onto it he then felt extremely cold around the bottom area - he stood back up and had wet jeans ..............the reason why no one had sat in the 'free' seat was because they had seen the wet patch on it and my husband hadn't - he had to get off at the next stop and come back home to change

Worst experience ever this morning on a Metropolitan Line train between Kings Cross and Liverpool Street... WAY too crowded for comfort.

One the Northern Line last year. I was 8 months pregnant... not one person moved or offered me a seat. I stood for and hour and a half with people pressed up against me and my belly. Yuck!!

I don't get as close as that to my family or people I like!!

The Victoria line has to be the worst..... and when you are nearly there they tell you the train is terminating at 7 sisters and you have to wait for ages for the next train which is even more packed....

It was about 10 years ago in Angel Station on the Northern Line, the trains was not as good then and it was very stuffy or maybe I was very small at that age....

On the central line about a year ago. It was the morning rush hour and the tube was packed solid. Eventually people started getting off so I moved away from the man standing behind me thinking he would appreciate the space. Strangely every time I moved away he ended up pressed up against me again. I thought I was imagining it at first but it became very clear that he was enjoying himself :( I'm still annoyed to this day that I didn't turn around and confront him.
