English pounds:
Notes: £50, £20, £10, £5.
Coins: £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p, 1p.

Three weeks isn't enough time to see London, let alone other places in England.
Make sure that you walk over Tower Bridge and look towards London Bridge, then do the same from LB looking toward TB.
In the vicinity there: Tower of London, the old city wall, The Monument, Lloyd's Building, Bank of England, Stock Exchange, Mansion House, Royal Exchange.
Then Downing Street, Houses of Parliament, Marble Arch, look for the spot where Tyburn Gallows stood in the days of public executions. There are galleries, museums. Outside London are castles galore, Hampton Court Palace etc.
So much to see and so much to do, but so little time.

I cannot believe there are people telling you that the Euro is the currency of the UK. It is not.

The currency is the Pound, divided into 100 pennies.

The best way to keep a check on your spend is to write down on a piece of paper in your wallet the value of various amounts, say how much 50p, £1, £5, £10 etc isin dollars and vice versa. Then you can check the price anytime. Use http://www.xe.com to get exchange rate.

What to do and see is an impossible question to answer without knowing which parts you are going to and what your interests are. You could spend 3 weeks in London alone and not see more than a fraction of the sights.

Suggest you buy a guide book now and start planning what you want to see.

The currency in England is the Pound Sterling. It is different from the Dollar and Euro in that it is more valuable than both.

The exchange rate today, May 29, is $1 = .54 Pounds and
1 Euro = .69 Pounds. For exchange rates you can go to http://www.xe.com

London is one of the most expensive cities in the world so you'll need plenty of cash or credit to do everything you want.

When I was in London a few years ago I found that there were things to do that are relatively inexpensive. If you like to walk there are many organized walking tours of varied themes ranging from The Beatles to Jack The Ripper.

I went on The Beatles walking tour and they took us around to all of the most famous sites that have to do with The Beatles including Abbey Road Studios and the roof top where The Beatles performed their last live concert. The Beatles walking tour was only 5 Pounds and it was a great time.

There are so many things to do in London and for a better idea you should visit http://www.visitlondon.com

Three weeks is a long time to be there so hopefully you'll find time to everything you want.

Please please listen to musicalj2, his/her answer was correct. NEVER NEVER NEVER spend the euro in UK. Although it is accepted in some places you will pay a lot more for things. Use our official currency Pounds sterling £££££££££££££££££ you will get a better deal. things are already so expensive in UK, so don't pay more than you have to. all banks, post offices will exchange your money for you.

I'm British, and i can tell you categorically that if you use the Euro you'll be more ripped off than if you use pounds sterling, which is the currency we use ourselves.

By yourself a cheap, battery-operated currency converter, which you can pick up at most airports or luggage sections in department stores, and keep a notebook of how much you spend.

The important thing in London is to use public transport wherever you can, black cab taxis where you can't, and never, ever use a private hire car - they will sting you right, left and centre if they don't think you know where you are going.

It depends on where your point of arrival is as to what you see. You can take a bus from London's Victoria Coach station out to Oxford - cheaper than the train and runs every 20 minutes or so. Oxford is a fine University city with a wonderful museum and lots to see.

Some people are really stupid. Why would you answer a question that you clearly don't know anything about???
Since when did the UK use the Euro as it's currency?
Are you lot really that stupid?

Could be pounds, could be the Euro.

It's a tourist trap, but the Tussauds Wax Museum

The pound sterling we also accept the Euro, since we are part of the European Union

No Euro, people will not accept your money. Give Pounds!

we still use Pounds Streling (GBP), though some shops will accept Euros.

Although exchange rates vary, an approximate conversion is £1 : US$1.50
or €1.50

Great Britain pounds, there are so many museums and historical place to see if you book thru a travel tours you will see most of these places in three weeks time.
