Ok I'll break it down into the constituant nations. It would be easier to pick a nation and explore it exclusively, then come back on your next trip and explore another one.

England:: South west England is beautifull with rolling hills and dramatic coastlines,. Recommended places are Devon and Dorset, both coastal areas but not much going on in the way of entertainment.
For breathtaking English countryside visit the peak and lake districts in the north

Cornwall:: Cornwall has the advantage of being a small nation so therefore you can explore the whole place in one trip. It has beautifull little villages and breathtaking coastlines. It has recently modernised it's outlook and is a fashionable area for surfing and extreme sports.
there is nothing quite like finding the most stunning hidden beach off the beaten track though, where youll find only a handfull of people.

Wales:: Wales has the industrial and commercial south with modern cities such as Cardiff providing a healthy media and night scene, whilst the north is mountainous and vast. The Northern people tend to speak Welsh as a first language.

I can't speak fo the other countries (Isle of Man, Scotland and Northern Ireland) because I havn't been to any of them but I hope this helps.

West Yorkshire. Beautiful countryside, Bronte land at Haworth, Royal Armouries in Leeds, Ilkley Moor. Leeds City Centre is a vibrant place, full of great shops, restaurants and bars. Also, West Yorkshire is a lot cheaper than London.

Hi,
If you can stand the midges I would definitely recommend the west coast of Scotland. Views to die for and lots of outdoor activities. Also the wildlife is second to none.

I can recommend that you visit the Isle of Bute in western Scotland completely untouched by modern developments for tourism, industry or for retirement homes. Lots of wildlife and fantastic scenery. Great for hiking, biking, fishing both freshwater and marine, sailing and kayaking, golf, horse-riding,
petanque and bowls, swimming with seals and seeking out the prehistoric sites and Standing Stones. Good seafood and beer too. For a series of articles, blogs, photos and reviews visit: http://del.icio.us/RogerMortimer

Caring girl.
Yorkshire I love it there for holidays with beautiful countryside.

Scotland. The west coast is beautiful.

Well London for obvious reasons.
But it really depends what you want, for nature and countryside try the Lake District, Peak District or the Scottish Highlands. I go to Dartmoor and Exmoor which are both nice, Dartmoor has alot more to do in the way of activities because the land is alot greener as opposed to Exmoor which is very rocky but Exmoor is by the sea where water sports and wind sports are very popular.
For cities and towns I would recommend Edinburgh, Bath, Manchester.
Popular British seaside resorts such as Brighton or Blackpool are worth visiting too.
Then theres places like Kenilworth, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon which have alot of history and are ideal a short country break.

Hi, am living in Scotland well if you are here jus to visit then go to edinburgh, loch lomand, dundee n highlands in scotland...lake district in england...well every city got the same shopping center so it wont make any diffrence you can shop from any city and the prices are almost the same...people usually go to london and yeah its quite nice actually but too crowdy...if you like amusement parks then go to blackpool you can not only enjoy the rides but also the beach. Aulton towers is not bad either.

hope it helps!
