London is its own metropolitan area, made up of many old & distinct villages, at the heart of which is the City of London. Greater London is in several Counties (provinces) such as Essex, Middlesex, Surrey and so on, situated on both banks of the River Thames |

There are Londons in:
Ontario (Canada)
Kentucky (USA)
Ohio (USA)
Aarkensas (USA)
California (USA)
Texas (USA)
Kiribati
Chili (London Island actually)
and of course England
and the only one of these in a province is the one in Canada - Ontario |

You need to clarify if you mean the world-renowned metropolis or namesakes across the pond?
The term province means that you may not be from the UK or refer to another London. If the latter is true then you are on the wrong Yahoo! Answers site. |

London doesn't have a province. In fact there are no provinces in the UK. We have counties. London is just London and has boroughs such as Lambeth, Wandsworth etc. |

London, England, is a capital city. A capital city is the main city, and as such cannot be a province.
Provinces are the areas emanating from the centre, ergo provincial. |

Considering the forum in which this post has been made then London is "in" Greater London. Although you could argue that it's made up of sections of Kent, Surrey, Essex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire along with the cities of London and Westminster. |

Its not. We don't have provinces in England, we have County, Shires and Parishes.
London is made up of a number of towns and villages, it has an autonomous city in the middle of it run independantly from the Monarch (she has to gain permission to enter) and has been divided into seperate counties, single councils, single county throughout its time, at the moment it is just London, even though the outer fringes of the Metropolis still have there county allegiances. |

Greater London.
Edit: Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is.
Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is.
Every country has one or more provinces. A province is an administrative area. Every London is in a province, including the City of London, in southern UK. |
