Me and my family went to falmouth in the summer and it was beautiful. I would say anywhere in Cornwall would be stunning in the winter as well as the summer. St Austell is also a beautiful area. You should try to go more inland though the weather wont be as cold as on the coast area. Happy holidays xx

Go to Totnes in South Hams in South Devon. The town is great, lots of good shops and cafes, completely baby friendly, then the beaches at Blackpool Sands, and Bigbury are superb. These have great organic cafes called Venus Cafes, with great food and are lovely places to go even for a cold day.

Try Harbentford Farm Cottages a great place with good quality cottages. Look for them on Blakes Cottages

Im not too sure if its open in winter but you can always try...

Its in Newquay, cornwall and its called whiteacres! Its fantastic for kids and the adults.

Indoor swimming the lot and beautiful caravans and play parks!

I used to go there when i was little. Search the name on yahoo and there should be a site!

Good luck, hope the baby enjoys its first xmas!! xx

In Cornwall, anywhere from Truro down is ok if you have transport, they have erected a ski slope in Truro but that aint much good for a baby...but the coastline is great, The towns all have something happening even if it is only seasonal shopping, Falmouth still has the museum...eden is open...

Come to Plymouth wondeful city ,lots to do for all the family ,and visit the new shopping mall ,see the best xmas lights in the South west .Happy Holiday :O).also so close you can pop over to Cornwall on the ferry or bridge :O)Best of both worlds then DEVON & CORNWALL

we went to brean sands in august of this year, and our daughter was one in july, we stayed at "holiday resort unity", it was lovely she enjoyed everything as did out 6 year old daughter and niece of the same age, they have their own website so you could take a look around there to see what its like. the beach was clean and tidy (even though we picked the wettest coldest week they still loved it), the fair was reasonable, and had a few rides for little ones, but the main thing she liked was the entertainment, it was really good and they really made an effort to please.
I would just like to point out that there is a website that owners advertise their caravans on so you can go direct with them, not just at this resort and is much cheaper than going through agents etc, if you find somewhere else you like then you could look for accomadation on there (very very cheap in the winter), its www.directholidayhomes.co.uk, hope this is of help, and enjoy your holiday wherever you go!
ps, most of the caravans on this site are in places like "haven, park dean etc, its just that because its direct they are cheaper and most include all costs including passes if needed, and they cater for the whole of the uk
