Take him for a walk around central London - he will be impressed with all the architecture and parks, Start off at Buckingham Palace then go on down the Mall to Trafalgar Square. After that head on down Whitehall past Downing Street to Parliament Square then cross the river and walk along the South bank to the London Eye before heading on to the Tate Modern to see the art.
I would head to one of the restaurants in Soho to eat - one of the ones on Wardour/ Dean/Frith Streets |

If the weather is good enough take a boat trip from Westminster Pier to Greenwich and back. You get to see loads of the sights without being jossled. Greenwich is a lovely place to hang out and there is plenty of shopping there too at weekends.
As regards places to eat, it depends on what you like. Look at this website for suggestions:
www.london-eating.co.uk
It has restaurants listed by area and type with reviews by people who have been.
Planet Hollywood is pretty rubbish in my opinion, over priced and poor quality. |

I wouldn't recommend Madame Tussaud's - it's very expensive and always crowded. It's okay, but it's not fantastic.
He might like the London Transport Museum. It's just been refurbished and I actually haven't been since it's been done, but it's supposed to be great. Failing that, I would recommend the London Dungeons - everyone likes that!!!
Planet Hollywood is okay for what it is - if you just want something simple like a burger then it's fine, but there are definitely better places to go. To be honest, most restaurants in London are decent and you won't go wrong by just wandering around the area you're staying and picking whatever looks good at the time. If you want to do something different, try Bloomsbury Lanes - it's ten-pin bowling with a bar, a diner and some small karaoke rooms. |

Theres tonnes of stuff to do in london, try one of the many museums, i like the imperial war museum or if he likes technology you could always try the science museum, lots of technology and stuff in there (plus its free to go in).
or if its a nice day the london eye is cool, get an amazing view of the city.
Alternatively you could just do a tour of the city, see houses of parliament, buckingham palace etc.
So much stuff to do how can he not like london? |

if the weather allows it why not take one of the open top bus tours. That way you can jump on and off if anything takes his fancy and just carry on if something dont!
And if you catch it at Marble Arch, theres an excuse for a tad more shopping for that "one thing you forgot"
Or failing that, what about the London Eye?
If you want somewhere nice to eat that will not cost a fortune I'd say Garfunkles... |

London Transport Museum is great. Also, as you are near Leicester Square what about getting a half price ticket to the theatre? Make sure you go to the official ticket booth. Last time I looked they had some great shows! |

I would take him to the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden. My husband loved it. Covent Garden is full of street entertainers, and can keep you amused for quite a while. You are also in easy walking distance of Trafalgar Square, and if you fancy walking a bit further there is Westminster one way, Buckingham Palace up the Mall, also St James' Park. |

The Imperial War Museum has a great collection of tanks and other things from all the wars the British Empire has participated in. It's great and should be fine for him if he likes technology and "big things" |

Would he like the London Eye?
Have a pint at Ye Grapes in Shepeherd's Square (Off Picadilly on Half Moon). It gets pretty lively aound 6:00 pm.
For good food go to Brown's in Covent Garden. |
