Nice place to live - very cosmopolitan - great people and Very Expensive.
Brighton can also be bedsit land so share a house with other students as you would not be able to afford place of your own £650 avg 1 bedroom flat.
Comes alive in spring , summer not so nice in winter.
Good bus services but again expensive.
Avoid Moulscoomb, Bevingdean and Whitehawk as not the best places to live.

Dark, forboding and very wet. As to the people - well I'm ok most of the time - but don't get on the wrong side of me 'cos I tend to prod people that do with my Trident into the fiery furnace.

Fabulous. Great shopping, great nightlife, great atmosphere, the pebbly beach is a bit shite but you can't have it all.

Mixture of allsorts.Very cosmopolitan.Cold, wet, and windy in winter and fab all-night beach parties in summer. Can be expensive-I paid £2.65 for a pint of bitter there last week in the Black Horse pub. Very pleasant Swedish barmaid, though, which helped to offset the wallet damage. There are cheaper places, but I just dived in to get out of the monsoon rain.Lots of places to get an evening job if you want it. High-tech bus stops tell you when the next bus is coming-it works off a satellite system.Good bus and train services all over the south and into London, with a very cheap deal on the London fare, and trains till late at night.Loads of clubs and disco's ,cafe culture,gigs,folk,jazz,rock,classical,an... you want, really.

Very lively, night life is extraordinary. A very individual town, with a vibrant gay scene. Like Camden.

Its full of gays, but appart from that its your usual type city.
University of Brighton is very good; the campus is brilliant, and they have smaller campuses across the South East.
The nightlife is alot like Camden Town, I agree.

Its very upcoming aswell, the council are currently redevoloping the Mouslcoom area, which is the rough end of town, and the buildings nearer the city centre are very modern. Its alot like Sloane Square in London area.
