The Cockney slang that was popularized by the movie "My Fair Lady" and the singer Ian Dury. It sounds funny in a unique way.

Yorkshire. Its the only place in England (or the English speaking world) that gets vowel sounds right (freetend, mud rhymes with good, etc). Very useful for reading foreign languages.

The best accent is one that everybody can understand. Some are so bad that TV programmes have to resort to subtitles! Back in the old days of "steam radio" Lord Reith of the BBC insisted that broadcasters spoke "received pronunciation", also known as "Oxford English" or "the Queen's English", the reason being that it could be easily understood when radio reception was poor and distorted, particularly over short wave transmissions. If you listen to the BBC World Service on short wave you will understand what I mean.

Mine.... Berwicker

it's a mixture between scottish and gordie with a handful of old gypsy words mixed in for effect...

but a yorkshire accent is sexy.. :P

su_france2003
Either Lancashire - or a mixed Indian-and-Cleveland accent (don't ask why!)
