The best accent is either a public school accent or something that makes you sound a bit posh anyway, like a cheshire accent. The worst accent to have is probably a scouser accent from Liverpool or a brummy accent from Birmingham....the last thing you want you brain surgeon to say is "Roight...we ganna cut y'open now, oroight?"

In my opinion the best -heehee- accsent -aha- is American.

Do you not watch American films? The actors have American "accent"....

I live in Devon and my favourite accsents are Scouse , Brummie , and Geordy, great.

I should be doing something else
Actually I love all English and Welsh accents.
I'm from Northern Ireland and I think the accents here are nice enough except for the broad Belfast accent and the Larne accent.
I don't like any of the Scottish accents (sorry) but I suppose the Edinburgh accent would be the best of a bad bunch.

Edit: I never said anything about Cumbria, what are you talking about!?! Im well aware of UK geography thank you =]

hmmm...? I would say that a soft Swansea accent with a erm, bit of an english accent is the best. Makes it sound very welsh....

scouse

after scouse ;), irish is the best, both north and south. i dont mind the cumbrian accent actually. yorkshire is ok, black country makes me want to kill myself, and southern hurts my ears a little bit.

SairahScarlett
Glaswegian is the best accent!!

Caroline
Well personally I love southern Irish accents...soooo sexy!! I also love RP accents like Hugh Grant.

Hannah;
I believe that the best accent is American...but unfortunately...you don't speak it.
