in America you can get a permit at 16 and need to pass a test to get your license, so 16 to 17.
the size of the car is irrelevant.

in the uk the age limit is 17 for a car, and 16 for a 50cc scooter

greyfoxx
17 in the uk for a car licence. You can ride a 50cc 30mph restricted speed moped at 16 years old.

In U.K. it is 17 years on public roads - providing you have a Provisional Licence, a Fully Qualified Driver with you and L plates front and back of the car.
The Fully Qu. Dr., must be over 21 years of age; or must have held a Full Licence for a minimum of two years.
Go steady and good luck.

In general, the minimum ages for driving on British roads is 16 years for invalid carriages and mopeds, 17 years for agricultural or forestry tractors, small vehicles and motorcycles, and 21 years for medium/large sized vehicles, minibuses and buses.

At 16 years old a person can drive a 3-wheeler that is powered by an engine no greater than 50cc. You have to be 17 or over to drive a larger 3-wheeler like the Reliant Robin. (750cc - 850cc). However; A 16 year old enititled to Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate (Mobility Allowance) may drive a Microcar

You can drive a peddle car from an early age

17 years old on a public road

The smaller the car, the younger you can be. You can drive a very small car at the age of about two. Most of these use your feet as a motor by scrabbling along the floor. When you get bigger, you get a car with pedals that you push around and around and the car will move. Many of these cars have a steering wheel that works. This is the kind of car I have now. When you get even bigger, you can get a car that actually drives on roads like grown-ups. They won't let me have one of these because they say I am a danger to myself and everyone else.

ragingmk
The minimum age is the same as for a large car - 17 yrs. Link below gives details of drivers minimum age for all types of vehicles in the UK

It is 17 is some places, 16 in others, however if you meet the min. height and weight criteria it could be 15 years, 10 months. If you drive on private property there may not be a min. age.
