Whats the worst holiday or break you ever went on?

Interesting question!
My worse ever holiday was to Kiln Park Tenby in 2004. IT rained all week. The caravan was nice but the holiday park was awful, dirty and plagued with larger louts!
The clubhouse was a disgrace and stank of BO, cigarette ash and stale ale. The tables were filthy and covered with spilt booze and the chairs were ripped. Food all over the floor. It was terrible.
Tenby itself was a lovely town and the beach near the caravan park was lovely. The park needed a total refurnish.
I'll never go back!

'Er indoors!!

For us it was Kusadasi, in Turkey.
We would choose the middle of Ramadam, with the cat-a-wailing, and the canons, and our hotel room was more like a D.S.S. squat.
What with the fact we had no water for a shower most mornings, cockroaches, and a pee'd mattress on the bed, a bus bombing nearby, and the constant pestering from shop assistants whenever we passed a shop, I was expecting someone to come and pay US for staying there. Never again, and it's put us off going back to Turkey!!

blackpool 1986....nothing wrong with blackpool itself but the 2 weeks i was there in rained the entire time!!!!!

I went to Portugal with my parent's about 3 years ago, I got soo badly sun burnt on the first day! I had to stay hotel room for 6 days.. I only came out at night LOL! an there was this really tacky kareoke every night of the week.. it was like benidorm :( an the pool looked like sewage.. bad times

We booked a last minute caravan break near Westward Ho! one Easter. Oh, it was the pits!! the caravan was dirty, and there was cigarette ash everywhere. Then we realised we were right by the clubhouse which was really noisy. We stuck it for four days, leaving at about 4pm on the fourth day! I did send them a fax to complain ( there was never anyone about to complain to) and they sent me a cheque for half of the money we had paid, which I think was the only redeeming thing about the whole break! Westward Ho? Westward NO!!!!

I saved all year to go to sharm el sheikh in egypt and when i arrived I broke out in chickenpox and couldnt go out the whole 2 weeks.

When all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and my family went to Big Bear to play with the snow. We were so excited (the kids) but when we got there, the snow didn't fall yet and we could only play with fake snow. Then after like 30 minutes of "playing", my aunt was like let's go to las vegas and so we went even though the kids didn't want to since there wasn't anything to do there. We ended up staying for the night and it was really boring because las vegas isn't a town for kids at all. Everywhere we went a security guard would come up and say, " you need to get the kids out of here." That was winter of 2005 and i still remember.

We went on holiday yo Tuscany with a friend. her folks persuaded us to take a so-called adventure holiday because we'd have 'younger' people on the trip (they were trying to marry her off,ha ha.). Well,, they weren't younger,but that wasn't the problem. they were all pro walkers more interested in getting somewhere than in LOOKING at stuff while we were keen photographers...
Then it turned out that the farmhouse where we stayed was about 3 mi from town. You could take a shortcut through a field but were warned about adders! The long way was following a pathless winding road (beware of mad Italian drivers!) If you went to town at night the whole group had to leave at the same time because there was only one torch! The village had only 1 taxi so you couldn't use it to get home.
The excursions were rubbish. 'gentle day walks' (as described) were vertical climbs up mountainsides,and on one excursion they just handed you a normal train ticket,told you were to change trains and left you to it.
On the final day, we were asked if we wanted to visit pisa. of course we all said yes. Well,that was fine but we were told we would all have to find our own way to pisa airport-they were too cheap to even drive a few mi. to pick us up in the town. they didn't supply maps and we met hardly any English speakers-fortunately I spotted a sign with a plane on it.
to add insult to injury it was the priciest holiday i have ever been on.
