Robin Hood

I think just walking around the city centre would be a good start, there's some interesting buildings to see, but don't stray too far from the busy parts as it's a dangerous place even during the day, lots of gangs about etc.

You could have a wander round the caves and have a drink in the Trip to Jerusalem, where the knights rested before going on the Crusades...it's supposed to be the oldest pub/inn in the country. Go to the Castle, which is actually a hall now as the original one burnt down. Take a trip to Sherwood Forest and go and see the Major Oak

Clumber Park is just up the road as well though you really need a car to get there...likewise to Sherwood.

Take a look here for more ideas....

If you're still there on 1st November go to Rock City and see Rooster, they're excellent live, and there are 2 other good bands on with them. ENJOY, trust me.

I would personally try and take in most of the Robin Hood related places :)

Find someone in a suit, nick all his money, and give it to save the children, apparently it's an ancient custom.
