It's certainly not the Victoria Line - that's a nightmare and I'm unlucky enough to use it nearly every day for work! |

I think the Northern line is the best for sleeping on, because its long & the suburban stops are long. |

Jubilee Line: my daily commute. But only if I can get a seat. |

=) Mine is the Northern Line because my local tube station is on the northern line and it can get me to Tottenham court road with ease. Plus the best thing about Northern is that the tourists don't know how to use it casue they get confused by the branches :p
Its a shame they want to split it into two separate lines now, that will make it easier for them to use oh well suppose it promotes tourism and means the tube will run faster. |

I love the wonderful but inaccurately-named Northern Line. It's logo is black and it's full of Punks and Goths. |

I love Central Line too as it is so familiar. I have spent many holidays with my friends in Stratford, East London and know the stations all the way to the centre. It is a great way to get around! |

Have to agree with you, central line is the one for me.
Takes me to work (sometimes on time) and drops me safely home at the end of the day (sometimes on time).
But also because its a simple straight line all the way through so very easy to read. |

The Eastern end of the Central Line! The rest of it sucks! District Line isn't too bad (when its running properly!) and the Jubliee Line is quite good |

Piccadilly because it stops at all the tourist destinations like Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden. My favourite station is Goodge Street on the Northern Line because of the big spiral staircase. It's like stepping back in time. |

Metropolitan Line. Does not feel as if you are near London as you get north of Finchley Road (assuming of course you are travelling off peak). |

If you mean "Tube" lines, then that excludes the District, Metropolitan, Circle, East London and Hammersmith & City lines, each of which are "cut and cover" construction, NOT tube.
I think my favourite tube line is the Central, because it encompasses all types of railway. On the one hand, there is the high frequency section beneath London between Liverpool Street and Marble Arch. On the other hand, the outer surface sections pass through suburbia and into the rural outskirts, such as at Theydon Bois. It also has a self-contained surface branch between Hainault and Woodford (a feature shared with only one other tube line - Northern Line).
There are also two major interchanges between the line and the National Rail network (at Stratford and Ealing Broadway).
That said, the Central Line also "boasts" the more accident-prone section of the tube network (the westbound line between Leyton and Stratford, where the Central Line dives under the Great Eastern metals.) |
