We liked Bath which has a beautiful center with great shopping and the tour of ancient greek bath house was very well done. The West side of the country has beautiful picturesque landscapes and not at all touristy - Sommerset, Exmoor, Dartmoor and down to Penzance - quaint towns, very rural and beautiful, but you have to be able to drive. I like driving in the UK and not at all intimidated by the left side driving - but I learned from a local first - otherwise you get sworn at - a lot!!!! LOL! |

If we are talking about place of interest in that there are many things to see then I would choose historic Edinburgh, if we are talking about beautiful scenery give me the west coast of Scotland anytime, the white sands, crystal clear sea and general serenity cannot be beaten. |

The manifold way is a great place to walk and camp
North wales is also a good place for walking and camping
Durham and Newcastle are great places to visit as well. Durham for a quiet place with the castle and cathedral and Newcastle for a more lively night out. |
