I live in Dublin, which is not a bad place to live. But it is being overtaken, and the population seems like it has doubled in the last 15 years.
But it's still big enough to get lost in, and small enough to feel like you belong.
Shame about the traffic, took me 40 minutes to get out of a car park the other week, and I'd only gone for a 5 minute check up in the dentist :-( |

why do you hate your street? My town is boring - Derby. I like my cul-de-sac though. |

Welcome to the 51st crappiest Town (unless it has already made it into the top 50). It is the butt of many comedian's jokes. A population of around 55,000 where they built the Ring Road right through the middle - what sort of people do that for Heaven's sake?
Almost as far from the sea as you can get and it has no "soul".
Shopping isn't bad - but you can't spend every single day shopping. Getting a car out into the road is murder 4 times a day because of all the "Chelsea tractors" (there is a small private school in the road) and can't stand the neighbours on one side, but I wouldn't move and give them the satisfaction of knowing they'd driven me out!! |

I live on the Kent Coast. It is a nice little town but has now become very chavy. My town is loved by Londoners who push the prices up and make it harder for the locals.
In summer, the swimming is great. It is very sheltered so it is always warmer than nearby places. Also, loads of regattas, fairs etc. In the winter it is dead. Most of the shops are the old fashioned tiny ones selling over priced goods. Visitors love it because it is a traditional high street but we have to travel 10 miles to get a pair of kids shoes or clothing but we can get any number of overpriced antiques, loads of estate agents and charity shops. We don't have many useful shops, just swank.
I think it is sad that this town, which used to be wonderful, has changed into a chavy seaside town - with none of the advantages. |

My town's great as it's about 15 miles from Ramsey Street so I can nip over to see Kylie, Jason, Mrs Mangel, Harold and of course Bouncer.
Life Down Under eh....
Better go throw another shrimp on the barbie........ |

I live in an apt. complex. I don't really socialize too much with my neighbors. Learned this in California. You really don't want people knowing your business. But the city I live in is good. All of my family live pretty close by. Family is soooo important! |
