That depends on you and what you want from your visit. Most of my family lives on the coastline and they do not enjoy visiting London in the summer time. However, where they live gets quite boring it the winter months, so then London is great!

If you want to avoid the crowds, go before June 1 or after August 31.

It will get very cold in January/February.

I went late august and weather was fine day & night.Did not
leave until mid december when it became so cold my nose would go numb if I went out at night.

Edinburgh in Scotland is a must visit during August. The international festival is on and it is just amazing, the atmosphere and events are world class. I've lived there for 10 years and i always look forward to August. Don't miss it if you're in the UK!!!!!!

There is always plenty to see and do in London, no matter what time of tear. However nov - March weather is cold, skies grey and no leaves on trees so can look a bit bleak. Spring Summer and Autumn are the best times to see England at its best. unless you specifically wanted to see the christmas lights.

Depends where you want to go. The main island of the UK is about 1000 miles long from North to South & depending on the time of the year some parts are nicer to visit than others.
