I love Scotland and have lived in Glasgow all my life. I think of the beautiful scenery and the wonderful people who make it such a fantastic place to live or visit.

Castles and bagpipes.

Purple mountains, the bracken in the glen, a saltire the colour of the sea,
Hogmany and the Edinburgh Castle Waterfall, a history to be free;

A wee dram, a skirl on the pipes, deep fried pizza and chips in a poke,
Choochters, Sassenachs and Fenians - the folk, the folks and the auld folk;

the smoke of frost and peat, vanilla gorse on the breeze,
midnight stars, midge bites and sunsets over the hebrides;

Salt spray off the bows, a beach party with the midnight sun,
The Firth bridge, the Forth bridge and a wee bridge back home;

The wee man, the big yin and a real bonnie prince,
Jimmy Bond, Rob Roy and a hero who's named Wallace;

The broons, our wullie and singed turnip lanterns,
Time off for lambing and
lines
for
skiving.

Them bloody awful pipers on the pier at Fort William and anywhere else the poor visitors congregate, makes me feel so lonesome even in the best of company...real downer.

As for rAnDoM-... Scotland is a wonderful place ..If only they sold ear plugs.

I just think of my home, 'cause I'm from Scotland, and no, we don't run around in kilts playing the bagpipes all the time.

And we also can talk, for all those who think Scots are illiterate.

I think of my heritage, considering my family was originally from Scotland. I also think of sheep, but that's only because I had to sit for an hour and watch something about Scotland that had eighty different slides of fields with sheep. Also cliffs, lakes, and the golden eagle; as well as castles and yes, the kilt comes to mind but for formal occasions, mostly.

but you have got to admit our accents are pretty much babes - except the really neddy ones.
