probably in spring time. ON A SCHOOL day though. going to alton towers in the summer is a nightmare trust me. and on weekends. i would recommend winter, on those slightly warmer days. going when its cold is horrible. they usually do school trips at around april time. and itsnot busy then.

But on a serious note the best time is either when the kids are at school or on a winter weekend when it is poor weather. I went on a slightly rainy winter weekend with a load of friends and the most we had to wait for anything was about 10 minutes because there was hardly anyone there
