Yeah loads of lovely places to stay in the UK. Go to the Yorkshire Dales. Fantasticly huge area, the biggest county in the UK.Beautiful countryside and peaceful. Type Yorkshire Dales in your URL mate.If you are taking your girlfriend, don't let your wife find out or it won't be that peaceful anymore! Enjoy. Ped |

The Lake District is gorgeous. it's north england near scotish border but england is small so you can get from one end to the other in just a few hours. It would be worth the drive |

East coast of Yorkshire. You've got the beaches, Scarborough, Bridlington. The North Yorkshire Moors National park. Quiet Villages, City of York. It's great. |

There's lots of places. From London, you can easily get to nearly anywhere in Great Britain, but quite near by are the Cotswolds, the South Downs, and the New Forest. As I live in the New Forest, I can tell you that it's easy to get to from London; you can catch the train to Southampton or Brockenhurst, or you can drive via the M3. Oh, by the way, if you do go to the New Forest, don't feed the horses, they aren't tame (I got kicked in the mouth by one) and it just annoys me.
But there's lots of places in England, just take your pick! |

Devon's beautiful! This B&B is £43-47 per couple per night. It's in the country but is also driving distance from beaches.

Strongly recommend Bank End Farm, Roadhead, Carlisle, up in The Borders. Beautiful old farm, excellent accomodations, breathtaking scenery. Owners are very nice people, locals very friendly as well. About six hours from London and well worth the trip. |

Bath is very easy to get to (Trains very frequent from paddington) and is beautiful. Is a city but very touristy and pretty in the summer. Most of the buildings are in honey coloured Bath stone and loads of history. Lots of boutiquey shops and close to cotswolds which is pretty and quiet if you don't want to be around loads of people. |

The Cotswolds - short drive by car or bus from London. Why? Thatched cottages, small towns with great pubs and great food in the pubs, great shopping, lovely English country people - but sophisticated, and low prices. Lovely romantic walks in small towns with ducks on the lakes and small boats. Wait, I wanna go back now! |
