Where can I go for a uk family holiday in mid april?

I wanna take my mum and kids on holiday around mid april 07 in the UK FOR for 1/2 wks but on searching the net nothing makes sense. Everything seems only to cater for couples with only 1 or 2 kids.
I have 3 girls age 8,12 and 13 and wan't to go with them and my mum only.
Does anyone know where we can go and what the prices may be?

I'd rather go abroad as it's probably cheaper and warmer but my mums terrified of flying and I DID say that when I got my loan (only £1,000) that to keep her happy we'd stay in the UK. help!

dont know if you have ever been to Devon but we find oak cliff holiday park in dawlish warren great for the kids very cheaply priced too.its not right in the town but very close to dawlish warren thats great for the kids arcades, beach, fair, plaent of space to play.lots of places to visit too torquay, paignhton and brixham.im sure your girls would love it and your Mom its a good all rounder!!well that what we find
just type oak cliff in one of the search engines!!

I live in Australia now, not suggesting here! but my mum lives in North Devon. I would very highly recommend Woolacombe, I have 3 kids too and used to camp there, but there are chalets too see http://www.woolacombe-sands.co.uk/ you would not regret it. It's a sea side town with a great pub, The Red Barn, and a fantastic beach for the kids to run around on, you can even surf there.
Barnstaple is close, so is Saunton, Croyde is another place to stay.

happy hols!

I would advise Ruda in croyde Bay, i use to go there when i was younger and i loved it. Its about 500 a week. but if you save up tokens in the sun you can get it cheaper thats what we use to do. Have fun what ever you do

Devon or somewhere like that would be nice plenty for you parents to do and the children, see if you can hire a caravan or something like that, if not there are plenty of B & B's in Devon.
Have a good holiday.

I'm only 13 so I can't give you much help bu I'll do what I can.For abroad if your moms scared of flying you could try France as you can go there by boat.
In the UK Devons always a nice place, look on Haven and Park Resorts to find places to stay and prices. Also my mom said when I asked her that it's better to go to the west than the east.

bristol, lake district or isle of wight.

Try butlins, you can get a 3 bedroom chalet. I think they are doing some good deals....or try hoseasons where you could get a Caravan that sleeps upto 8 people.....

We've taken my Mum and Dad and 2 kids self-catering in a caravan at Kiln Park in Tenby. It's got an indoor pool, a cabaret bar and loads of things for the kids to do. Tenby is also a nice town to look around. It used to be owned by British Holidays but I think Haven have taken it over now. Have a look at their web-site.

I have heard the Centre Parks is a great choice for young and old.

Can be pricey if you go during school breaks though
