In England , behave girl... :O) skiing in the UK is best done in Bonnie Scotland and conditions can be checked on teletext or ceefax but try call Cairngorm Mountain Resort , you are on top of the the UK and you can see clear to the islands as you ski :O) on a clear day of course

snowpark in kent it is also connected to diggerland (themepark where you can drive diggers and the like) it is outside is not chemical snow (apparantly) and you can snowboard ski go tubing play in the snow or have lessons in either snowboarding or skiing open nov-mar every weekend check out their website bought a skilesson for someone as prezzie about 20quid do you think they should pay me commission for recommending them?

Curious Cat
If you`re near Milton Keynes, go to the Xscape snow slope which is a 170m real snow ski slope for skiiers and boarders. It`s open something like 9am til 10pm everyday (check the site) and has great equipment hire facilities as well as a good cafe/bar. There`s also rock-climbing, bowling and other stuff going on all the time as well as all the shops in the main centre.

It can get pretty packed at the weekends during winter tho` as everyone gets geared up for their ski hols so make sure you get there early!

geographically england is not a snowy country, we are kept warm by the gulf stream, your best chance of snow (also where it is snowing at the moment) is the highlands of scotland. But your chances of skiing are pretty slim. In general the east coast will receive much more snow than the west, but the only fun youll get is snowballs and occasionally sledging.

Ben Nevis, 4406 ft at its peak, Go up the A82 going north to Fort William out of Glasgow. This is the only NATURAL snow fall area in the UK that is reasonably sure to have the climatic conditions required. Its been a bit warm this Summer and Autumn so melt off may be more than replenishment therefore snow will be man made. Don't know about suitably mountainous areas in England. Mountains would need to be over 4000 ft.
