Where can I have a snowy holiday in the UK late December? |
I'm looking to spend 4-5 days somewhere in the UK at the end of December. I would really love to go somewhere with lots of snow although I know these days its hard to guarantee that happening. Ideally I want a cabin somewhere scenic with a log fire and snow. If a hot tub is included all the better! But nothing too fancy / expensive.
Many thanks |

Right to the top of Scotland, in/near Wick.

Maybe in Scotland. In Avemore!! |

Lee Lee is right, Aviemore/Braemar/Ballater are probably your best bets for seeing snow as they lie within the Cairngorm National Park and even if snow doesn't fall in the villages you might see some on the hills. |

It sometimes snows in the Lake District, in late December.
It's a really beautiful place to go to, especially in the wintertime. It can be really magical.
Good Luck! |

i'd probably have to day Scotland aswell. In England, Ireland And Wales, snow doesnt come until about Febuary, and thats about an inch, if your lucky. |

No guarantees with the snow, but try Great Glen Water Park in the Highlands. Pretty far north and comes with a hot tub and a lot of other things to do.
Have a great time! |

Maybe in Cumbria, Lake District. Why don't you go to the Adventure Centre, called Glaramara, which is not far away from Keswick. It's absolutely gorgeous. :) And there is snow!!! =D |

Scotland comes to mind but where in Scotland I am not sure. Also not sure about guaranteed snow as even parts of Lapland were late getting snow last December. I went to Yllas resort in Finland last December which was magical with all the snow. However I heard Rovanaimi had little snow at the beginning of december.
Could you not consider going further afield for more chance of snow? |

Scotland's the best place for snow in December. I don't think Austria is part of the UK. |
