Where can a group of young adults go camping in the uk?

We are a group of 5-6 young adults, aged 16-29 and are always turned away by camp sites because we are not a family or a couple. we just want to be able to go camping somewhere and have fun!

Ashburnham place in Sussex is a great place to go. it is a stately home, that allows groups to use its property to camp

There's a great place near Bodhium castle, it's cheap, there's a river next to it, and your allowed to pretty much do what you like in the understanding that you'll be responsible and respectful of others. So you can have a camp fire and play music and just have a good time!

Go to the lake district.
Lots of good campsites, some great villages (with village pubs and northern prices (£1.65/pint), Roman ruins, spectacular mountains, easy motorway access (M1 and A1), outdoor persuits facilities (boating, fishing, mountaineering, absailing etc) and best of all you can rent a barn to put up your tents in for about £10-25 per night and thus are 100% safe from rain and mud.

I think there may be similar facilities in Scotland but I don't know where and the Scotish weather is not great most of the time, but some fantastic scenery there. When I last went to Scotland I stayed in B&B's, this was pretty cheap and great fun.

One could dress up as a female, whelll it is camping.

blonde dyslexic but good looking
depends on what u want to do. i used to be in the raf if u like out doors walking and middle of know where have your own camping equipment i would say oakhampton its lovely. not to dangerous for u and lots to do. or snowdonia in wales is nice to.

if u dont have camping equpiment then find a campsite this is not as good cus u have to do what the campsite says.

Epping Forest. That's supposed to be good and it's free! I think it's ok to go there. Can I come too?

Easy. Go to Trevelgue campsite in Newquay Cornwall.

It is one of the few that is set up with a large area specifically for groups like you. This is where they have the VW events like Run to the Sun etc and during the summer it is a party the whole time.

There is a night club on site, Surfing beach a short walk, and Newquay itself, with all its pubs clubs and 50 surf shops is 5 minutes in a cab.

Get the number from Newquay tourist information.

Have a great time.

any "haven" camp should be fine

Glastonbury (if you dont mind paying a lot or mind the mud)
P.s. if youre going can I come? (LOL!!!)

Scottish camp sites are the best. Look up the North West coast, around Ullapool. You won't get more stunning scenery anywhere in the UK. Guaranteed.

You can always go to a National Trust campsite. I camped at one in the Lakes and saw loads of people who weren't a family or couples there.

The site for the Lakes said as follows in regards to restrictions:

Families, couples and individuals are welcome at all our campsites. Please note however that at Low Wray and Wasdale, parties of no more than 4 can be accepted, unless you are a family group with children under the age of 16.

Newquay in Cornwall is a hotspot for young adults going camping.

Glastonbury isn't on this year so you'll have a bit of a wait. Go to North Wales- its beautiful great beaches, mountains, surfing, hiking, horse riding....just general fun:

New forest is good. I went there late last year and it was absolutely beautiful, I found other campers to be friendly as well.

There is a site in Newquay just outside the town, called Trelawn, very popular with groups of young people (also single sex parties). They also have a club house with entertainment.

Try booking ahead through Haven holidays. They send a questionnaire and you fill in the names of everyone who is going. I don't think they mind if you are not a family as long as you behave yourself. They have campsites all over Europe, many in the UK and you can take your own tent(s)

we went to a campsite near Scarborough last year. We had the same problem but this camp site was o.k. with groups. It was called the snooty fox. Its o.k. but has basic facilities but there is a pub on site.

you can compensate. on long term we need to see how injustice occurs and fix those bugs. but it is also important that we define what injustice is! Can you put someone to death for murder? is it two murders then? do rape convicts deserve life term? - how do you know if the victim did not enjoy? You see, these things are fraught with hard questions and dilemmas. Therefore 1. In REALLY short term - impeach Bush, 2. In SHORT term - Compensate the victims of injustice 3. On LONG term fix loopholes in law etc. that allows injustice 4. On VERY LONG terms define what injustice is and be prepared to accept that no law or culture or religion can treat ALL people equally (as lawyers think law can) or define beyond doubt what justice is.

lurv_u2000
