Just look out your window there are plenty of suckers who pay stupid prices for fireworks and you get to see them for free.

I was born and grew up in Birmingham and Pype hayes was always considered the best display, we used to watch the fireworks from the road so we didnt have to pay and then go into the fair when they had finished as then you could get free admission.
For the last 5 years however I have been living in Dudley and the display at Himley Hall is the biggest in the counry. It is attented by 30,000+ people so is very busy, but that is because of how good it is.
The dispaly this year is called "Stictly Fireworks" based on Strictly Dancing but is not all ballroom music.
They set the fireworks off to music and they link together. They are set off from either side of the lake and it has been reported in the paper that they have spent £20,000 alone on Fireworks.
There is also a big fair and Beacon radio put on a mobile radio so that you are entertained while awaiting the display.

Previous years displays have been based on Harry Potter, Super heroes, Lord of the Rings etc..... Very very good. Bit of a trek from Birmingham though. There are free buses put on in and around Dudley that take you there and back, dropping you right at the gates. So if you drive you could always drive to a bus pick up point. Or you canpark at Himley for a charge per car.

See the enclosed link, I asure you, you wont be disappointed.

Kings heath cricket club got a big display, opens 5pm, fireworks at 7pm. fair, stalls, bar and entertainment. Sunday 5th.

Look in the local paper if you want to pay to see fireworks. Two alternatives - buy some and do your own display in the back/front garden (make sure you do it safely), or find a place to stand were you've got a good view of the night sky and watch everyone else's for free.

The main ones are at Pype Hayes Park and at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Both of them you should try to get tickets in advance... yes, you have to pay. Sucks. But I think I'll be able to see them from my house... so bonzer for me!
