Zoe S

Where do you live and what is it like?

We live in a little town in Lincolnshire (East Midlands of England) called Market Rasen. Population approx. 10,000. It's a pretty market town with about 10 pubs, 400 hairdressers, 4,000 takeaways and a supermarket or two.

It's set right on the edge of the Wolds so we're lucky to be able to look at hills (Lincolnshire is well known for being flat!).

I love it here because we have the luxury of being in the countryside, very tranquil, but within distance of other towns and cities.

I was brought up around here - my parents live in the next village - but my husband is from Sheffield. He loves his background but really enjoys being here too.

I'd love to know where you are in the world, what your area is like and what it has to offer!

Needmorecubes - yippee! A fellow yellowbelly! I grew up in Binbrook (Manor Drive) and went to the Primary School! Have supped a pint or two in the Click'em with my Dad and also the Plough (yuk) but the Marquis of Granby as well, which is now housing, I think. Also, I lived there when Jock's Shop was the bee's knees. I'd go on a Saturday with my 10p pocket money and come back with carrier bags full of sweets and comics!!

Clifton juxta Bristol.

Lovely place - lots of history, lots of lovely Georgian architecture, and ten minutes walk down the hill you have all the amenities of a large modern city, ten minutes walk across the beautiful suspension bridge over the Avon gorge and you are in rural countryside. Best of both worlds!

Market Rasen, I have been there to the horse racing track. It's quite a cool place.

I live in Hull in east Yorkshire, used to be known as a really bad place but it is really on the up. Two new shopping complexes being built (one to open next month) and lots of new stuff being built. I really like it here :)

I'm italian and I live in Aosta. When I was a child (I had 2 years old) I lived in London because my parents were a buisnessmans. Today I live in Aosta Valley. It's a very cool city: there is Monte Bianco and there a lot of lakes and mountains. Altought I want to live in England, so I go to London every year and I stay for two months.

Hi Zoe S, we live in a nice place, Binbrook, about 9 miles from Market Rasen. Lovely to come after work, peaceful, tranquil, decent pub (The Click 'em), and ace takeaway when we get bored of cooking tea on friday!

A little village on the East Coast of Scotland.

Population 480. Farmland and countryside all around, with a big town nearby for all our needs. Two minute drive away from a huge beach, plenty of wildlife, and we're only 30 mins from Edinburgh.

We've just moved and feel we are in paradise. : )

You sound as if you are very happy, too. : )

I live in a quiet suburb of North Manchester called Prestwich, it's really nice and peacful with little trouble. All races, religions, sexualities and ages live here in harmony,it's a very safe place with nice shops, bars, and a huge park. I grew up here and moved back to the area about 5yrs ago due to it's great schools & transport links, and because it's a wonderful place to raise children.
It is a 10 minute drive from the City, but is like a million miles away!
